Cartomizer/Tank/Battery or all 3 problem! (any thoughts?)

So about 2 years ago I ordered an eGo kit that came with 2 of the regular batteries. They worked well for quite a long time with the regular 510 attys. About a year ago or so I decided to order some 2.6ohm Fluxomizers (CE3s) And they seemed to work really well for the whole time that I had them and all was merry.

Recently I ordered 2 more packs of Fluxomizers both at 2.6ohms. The very first one from the order worked flawlessly as usual for about a month, then I decided to swap to a new one. Now what happened was the new one seemed to work for like a day, then all of a sudden the top part where the coil is was turning dark brown and making my light pink colored juice turn brown. Every single one after that did the same thing.

So I decided that I wanted to try my luck with a different product and ordered 5 dual coil tank atomizers (smoketech I think). They are 1.25 ohms. Same thing happened again, first one lasted about a week, every one after that started to turn my juice brown and tasted really awful after about a day of use. One of them even turned the juice so black that I couldn't even see through it anymore, it looked like cola!

Now it seems like it *might* have been caused by one of my batteries, they are really old after all (is this possible? they have also been abused and put through hell and back). So I decided to order a eGo Passthrough battery, but I don't have any new attys to test it on yet.

Has anyone ever seen this happen before? Also, all of the filler in the dual coil atty has turned black as well.

Both Ce2's and carto's are disposable. They are not meant to last all that long. You said that you got a month out of a Ce2, I would say that is great. I usually get a week out of a ce2 and less from most cartos. I dont beleive a batt would cause the problem. What type of juice are you using? the ejuice may be causing the problems.

Using a carto too long or using juices with a sugary or sedimentary content will do that. Just using a carto more than a week will result in darkening of the filler around the coil wires. Chuck it and use another at the end of a week. They are not permanent atomizers.

The juice I am using is 50/50 pv/vg blueberry. It's rather thin and runny. However I pulled apart one of the dual coil tank cartos that was turning the juice black after 1 day of total use from new to being pulled apart. It would seem as though I was vaping faster than the filler could wick as the filler had a huge black hole burnt through the 3 layers of filler that was wrapped around it. I went ahead and ordered 2 - 5 packs of ce2s, 5 x ego mega dual coil cartomizer things, and 5 x bauway cartos. I should be set for awhile, and I'm definitely going be more aware of how dry the coil is getting as I'm using it instead of trying to make a cloud of vapor so thick that it starts to rain.
