I just joined the forum today after lurking for a few days and I am very confused. I ordered my Joye eGo today (my first e-cigarette) and ordered some e-liquid with some blank cartriges. Now I am reading mentions of cartomizers and am now thinking that maybe I ordered the wrong things. Whats the difference?

Also I am seeing unflavored e-liquid and little bottles of flavorings and am wondering if those 2 can be combined to make eliquid or do i have to make the whole diy mixing procedure ? I watched the video and feel confident i can do it, but i am a beginner so I would rather stick to easy for now.

The eGo usually comes with atomizers and cartridges. A cartomizer combines them into one unit. Either one will work though. The advantage of cartomizers is that they hold more juice so you don't have to refill as often. They're also considered disposable so you generally use them for a while then throw them away. Atomizers are more expensive and you either use cartridges on them, or a drip tip. They last longer than cartomizers but cartridges hold less juice so there's more refilling with them. There's three camps on the issue, atty's with cartridges, atty's with drip tips, and cartomizer users. But whatever works for you is the best way to go. Drip tips eliminate the cartridge on an atomizer, you just put the liquid directly into the atomizer with them. 3 drops and puff away till the taste changes, then 3 drops again. It's really easy, but less convenient when you're out 'n about.
The unflavored juices are made for adding your own flavoring. Some people like to vape it as is though. I'd hold off on the DIY juices until you've tried enough flavors to know what you like. There's no sense buying a bunch of different flavorings until then. There's a series of videos made by MistressNomad that are truly worth watching, you can find them here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/120044-i-made-videos-newbies-particular-broke-newbies.html. They'll explain a lot of things that you're probably wondering about.
