Cartomizers... When should I throw them out??

I started vaping probably about a month ago. My brother bought me a cheap e-cig and I loved it so much that less than a week later I ordered several liquids and some empty cartos. I've been switching between the 6 cartos I have with different flavors. I definitely can tell when they're low on liquid, I'm just not sure at all how to tell when the carto itself is garbage. Any suggestions??

If you love vaping with a cheap e-cig, wait until you get a mod with some LR attys or cartos.........

I use dual coil cartomizers and they last and last and last. Mine last for months. I stop using them when they get harder to hit or I notice the flavor just doesn't taste the same as it used to anymore.

Remember the more clear the liquid the longer they last. Imo

That is so true...when I vape dark liquids, my cartos die alot quicker than using the lighter liquids.

You'll know the "burnt cotton" taste when you get there. It's terrible.

I only use 3 at a time and rotate them. I also use bud tanks and an ego-w clearomizer on my eGO. When the cartos get a hard draw, or taste burned, I throw them out. I have had one that just died on me.....and right after I had given it an injection of almost a ml. Talk abt ticked??? Lolololol hubby laughed like heck at me......I sat down with a pair of tweezers and yanked the poly out of that thing, then sat there with the condom in one hand and the poly in the other......and squeezed every bit of that juice out!!! Lol then i injected it into a new one.....how's that for no waste?? LOL!

You can also use a syringe to squeeze the juice out into another carto or a container, pull the plunger out and place the filler materiel inside, and put the plunger back in and press down,works real well.

You must be a light user, I have never had a carto last 1 month no mater what it did with them or to them, and I have used all the 510 carto's on the market. Dual coils don't last any longer that single coil caromizers with filler material for wicking. Take one apart and see how the diaper and filler materiel has holes burned in them, That is what your vaping.

I change mine out about every 5 days or so they start tasting burnt even though I only use carto tanks so the stay plenty wet but they're cheap so I just toss them

hi taylerrae & welcome to ECF.."how to tell when the carto is gabbage?"..look at yr used carto into the skylight or lighted blub ..is the tunnel still intact?..can U see the light at the end of the tunnel?..is yr vape free from any burnt taste and smell?..if the answers are yes..yr carto still in working order..try cleaning yr carto,many methods..simplest is boiling yr used carto(s) in a pan for 15 mins, twice and dry over 1-2 days..might be able to salvage yr used carto..regards mafig

You know what? I was so aggravated and ...... at the time I didnt even think of that.....was just determined I wasn't wasting all that juice! Lol! Thanks for the advice......ill do that next time!
