how do you tell if a vapage cartomizer or attomizer are dead? i have been using the same cartomizer for about 3 weeks with the same flavor(spearmint) and today it seems like its losing flavor. i have used the attomizer every now and again also and i love that thing but the price is a bit ridiculous in my opinion. so how do i know when they are done? also curious about other great cartos and attys that other venders sell. thanks

They're done when they start to taste horrid. 3 weeks is good going. You get lots of atty's that you can buy a new head for, instead of buying a new atty. or you can build your own heads for a fraction of the price if you're good with your hands. Have a look at Kanger products like the evod or T3, with both you can buy new heads for a few bucks, and they perform pretty well.

Have you tried cleaning them? The carts last me also, about three weeks. I don't bother cleaning them, as I got them on the 50% off sale - cheap enough to toss! The atomizers seem to last much longer. I rotate out a couple of them. Once a week I'll clean them with hot water, and also an overnight soak in PGA, followed by another hot water rinse. I use two (have 2 V-mod 2.0's) and the others will sit drying for a week. The 4 of them have been in rotation now for (are you ready for this) ~ 3 MONTHS. I'm a happy camper!!!

Yeah...you were lucky with the carto. Three weeks is excellent, but when the taste goes south, that's about the end of the road unless you want to try cleaning it. (PBusardo has a YouTube video on cleaning cartomizers.). As for the atomizers...they can last months if you treat them right. Clean them like biendeb says and you can just keep vaping...just keep vaping...until a wire fries and breaks.
