Hi,
I'm new here and have searched the posts on this subject but didn't find anything.

I bought a AV starter kit that came with two empty carts. I filled them both and they both whistle when I take a drag. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, how can make them stop whistling. It's really annoying.

Thanks,
Terry

Yes carts can whistle if there is a slight gap that air is getting through. If usually goes away by itself. But you could buy more carts - a cart can be used near forever if you clean and restuff it. And BTW are you actually talking about carts? Carts are plastic and stuffing and they push onto an atomizer. If you have a brand with no silicone plugs on the carts and you push the atomizer through foil that seals the cart then it may help to remove the foil. Pull off the cart, push up the juice cup with a paper clip stuck in the mouth hole, remove the foil, and then get the juice cup back down without pressing on the stuffing.

OR are you talking about cartomizers aka cartos, disposable screw-on juice carts that contain their own internal atomizer? We call those cartos. Some vendors that only sell a 2-piece model call then carts. yes they can make noises. They can whoosh, crackle, pop and that is usually a sign they are working well.

I want to thank you funny people for your replies. I got a good chuckle out of that.

Yes, I'm talking about cartridges not cartomizers and there are no cracks or air leaks in the carts or where they connect to the atti. They snap on tight. I think the noise is coming from the hole in the mouth piece because when I put my tongue close in front of the hole (without touching the hole) when I inhale there is no noise. Weird! The noise does seem to be lessening with use. Hopefully it will stop altogether. It's kind of embarrassing when these things whistle & squeal in public. People look at me funny.

I'm not sure about your situation, but I found myself dealing with a whistling noise coming from my eGo, and even though the cart seems like it should be the source of the problem, I found that it was an atty. I had just changed attys but kept a cart filled with a great flavor. Whistling ensued. I changed to another atty and the problem stopped immediately. The whistling atty has been cleaned more thoroughly since then, and no longer whistles.
