I have 2 different cartridge designs for the 401 and have noticed a difference. Wondering if anyone else has.

The new style, that come with the EVO (regular flavor). These seem to restrict air flow and make the drag harder.

The older style, that come with the Pilot (black color). Have the cup with the stick on the bottom. These seem to have better air flow and an easier drag.

Anyone else notice this?

yes , i've noticed that also, the ones without the stick do not smoke

Can you describe the new design? I only have the little stick variety, but I thought a design improvement would be to lose the stick and have a ridge in the inside of the outer cart for the inner cart to rest on.

I've used both style carts in evos, pilots and generic 401's...I've also dripped with my evo (I do that almost exclusively now) and I don't notice a mentionable difference.

If there is one, it's not big.
