Would someone explain to me what dripping is?I get the idea that you don't drip with a cart, but you can with a cartomizer? I suppose being new and all that I should just go with cartridges (one step at a time Grasshopper),but I had questions about what I should buy to start with.

I keep hearing the term dripping tho. What is it and how is it done? (if I might be so bold as to ask)...:D

Dripping is removing a (empty) cartridge from the pv, dripping 3-4 drops of juice directly on the bridge (the wire mesh part that sticks up) of the atomizer, putting the cartridge back on and then vaping. It eliminates the mess and fuss of having to refill cartridges with juice, foam and the like. It doesn't last as long as filling a cartridge but it's much quicker.

I've been here a few weeks and I still don't understand the benefits of a cartomizer and why I should use one :)

The benefits of a cartomizer is that they are carts and atomizers combined, cheaper and disposable. Cartomizers are nice when you want to be lazy and not clean atomizers, can just have a cartomizer for each of your preferred e-liquid flavors without having to taste any kind of transitional taste change if you do not clean the atomizer, and if you do not want to carry any e-liquid bottles on you.

Personally once I got a metal drip tip for my riva dripping is all I do now, I don't mind carrying bottles of juice with me.

You must read Grasshopper (Wanderer) Seek the knowledge of the more experienced among us..(not me, I'm new) got me a 510 kit as a start but added a large 900mAh battery and cone (think ego) to go on it. I have dripped onto my atty but I'm putting drops of my juice into the cartridge for my vaping. They even have self-feeding systems out there but they seem to be expensive or problematic from what i've seen. So go and get the info you are seeking and be sure to share your experiences with us. ..the foggy1 (craig)
