We at GotVapes would like to lend substantial support to this effort. Chris and I are considering adding a check box or something of that nature to allow our customers to donate to the research study and other research studies.

With CASAA you have a non-profit, highly motivated and fundamentally altruistic organization. So, you can feel confident that your donations will be used wisely and on your behalf. And of course we vendors stand as much to benefit if not more than the regular consumer.

With this in mind Chris and I would like to offer the chance to donate when you place an order, any dollar amount, even if its just a buck. We pledge to match every dollar donated up to at least $500.00 (so this effort alone from the GotVapes community would provide 20%, $1000.00, to their present research project). If the response is overwhelming, we will consider increasing our matching contribution.

We'd like someone from CASAA to comment or let us know how we can coordinate this and their thoughts. Also anyone else who wishes to make a comment is encouraged.

Many thanks to the CASAA organization.

put the box up and i will donate on my next order.

A little more involved the just throwing a box up. We have to contact the powers that be of CASAA for a legit link so funds go through the credit card (or other payment options) right to them. Assumably we would house a link for them as a host for funds (and match it) nothing more.
So you can rest assured the money is put directly to the cause intended. ;)

If someone can give an assist and alert CASAA...just so busy here this morning. THanks for the endorsements on the plan. One way I can do this is simply add it as a product and make it prominent with options to donate say up to 50.00.

I don't necessarily have to put up a link from CASAA. As long as you are a regular customer and know to trust us I see no issues there. WE would also absorb the credit card processing cost so that CASAA would get the full amount of the 'grant'.

But it would be good to hear from them on who to send the donation to, etc.

I'll see though if we can put up a fundraising meter...this way we are more transparent with the funds, it would give a real time number you can see directly increase with your donation.

You can donate from $1.00 to $50.00 and GotVapes will match up to a minimum of $500.00 in matching contributions. We say minimum as we may donate more if the response is overwhelming.

This may seem like a stupid question, but did you remember to unapply the newsletter and VIP discount codes to this "product"?

It works better for CASAA if the vendor collects the funds through their CC processor and then makes a donation of the total collected (plus any matching donations) periodically--say once a month. That can be accomplished by just using the DONATE button on CASAA's web site or by mailing a check (The owner can contact board@casaa.org for the mailing address of CASAA's treasurer.)

If we create a special button for each vendor site that directly deposits collections into our PayPal account, we would need to track and report the totals to each vendor participating. The accounting would get pretty complicated and time-consuming, and we are an all-volunteer organization.

While we appreciate and value the support of vendors in our community, it is important that CASAA not appear to be endorsing any particular vendor. Accordingly, we ask that vendors be careful about not implying that CASAA is endorsing the vendor or any particular products. That being said, know that we are very grateful for the wonderful support we have been receiving from consumers and vendors. You guys are great!

Yes- we are processing through our site and monthly or bi-weekly we will then calculate with matching funds and send through your donation link at casaa.org...

We'll give a full accounting to let everyone know how its going : )

Those are going to apply for now until I can get into the code and change. As you can imagine that is a project all its own. But its not something we will fret over. If you donate and five dollars costs you 4.50, we are more than happy to close the gap so I guess for now its matching funds ++ :)
