I recently bought one of the XL cases (4 batts, 8 carts) from VK, and it looks like a decent layout, but I have my gripes with it.
Does anyone know where I can find lead/toxin-free foam rubber to use for redoing the pieces that hold the batteries / carts in the case? It seems the manufacturer cut the notches for the gear at the same size as the gear (instead of just a little smaller so it would grip the objects) and the glue doesn't seem to hold real well to the case it's self... everything looks great in it unless I tilt it forward while open or close it. Shake it once and everything falls out!
I would normally follow that up with VK, but I have other plans for this case
The reason I'm trying to find the foam rubber is because I bought one of these:
Lenmar PPUS20 Solar PowerPort Any Where USB Battery Charger (sorry can't post URL yet)
And it would go great in a case if I can find a suitable way to carry carts and batteries with it... (BTW it's a really light weight unit and it feels like there is a lot of air inside of it so it should be relatively easy...)
I want to find a way to basically add a solar option and an external charger port to my PCC and allow me to charge my ipod / cell phone off of it too
The XL case has the room in it for this, and I can sack a couple of the cart slots for it
If I can find a way to power a pass-through off of it at the same time... all the better
