So I just purchased the castigador and have been looking on and on at batteries. My concern obviously is safety but performance is paramount and was wanting to get opinions on best batts. to use with the parallel 18650 set up.....

I'm building really low .13-.08 and battery dependability is a concern. Thats why I went parallel 18650 to split the load.
