The vet clipped her nails once or twice. I can only do it when she is sleeping, get one or 2 done before she wakes and won't allow it anymore. So it takes about week to get them all

My Maggy is a Snowshoe - best cat ever! Ragdolls look similar and have a great personality, but the longer coat is more than I care to deal with. My family had 2 Siamese that were great cats too. Guess I just love the coloring and those blue eyes.

How difficult is her coat to keep up with? Does she ever develop mats? (Long ago I had the most gorgeous long-haired black cat with the sweetest disposition, but her coat/undercoat was an absolute nightmare -- for both of us! )

Maggy's coat is like a Siamese, smooth and short. So she never gets mats, and is very good about grooming herself.
She's going thru a shedding phase right now, so I end up with a lot of it on my lap in the mornings while I sit here and have my coffee. She is especially loving when I am wearing black pants. sigh. Thank goodness for lint rollers. But better on my lap than later on my carpet later in the form of a hairball
