. Well I would but I already tore it out because I was going to retry tonight. Just kind of think it's going to be the same lol. I never had an issue with the nuppin or Odin. Now this atty hates me!! I've rebuilt this sucker like 6 times!!

Steven, you have any ribbon kanthol?

Nope just the normal round. Also you mean the nectar micro? I do think the manta is going to be perfect for me.

Meant the Nectar...yes....I'll let you be the guinea pig....:):)

I'm thinking the same thing, I want flavor while not sucking my brains out, the Manta should work well I hope.

I really like the derringers better than any atty's I have....easy builds, great flavor.

The marquis' are good, but I still like the derringers more.

Which version do you have? There was one that would only accept the big proprietary drip tip (v1) or the one that came with the adapter to use a standard drip tip. (V2). I have a pile of non BF v2s I would gladly sell for $5 each for parts. I believe they come with 2 sets of o-rings. LMK.

I also have v2s in black so with a parts kit you could have alternate colors and new o-rings.
Well there you go Bik. As you see Tom is the king of customer service! :)

Lol... I'm paying 60€ for 5-10 day shipping. Very few places are carrying them due to Amerpoint jacking up the wholesale price to 5€ less than the old retail price. Retail now is 100€ or $115. Two months ago retail was 70€ ($81) they blame the tumbling euro, I explained the dollar to ruble hasn't changed much but they explained that they can't accept the dollar due to some PayPal issue and there is no way I'm sending $4-5k to Russia without some form of protection.
I don't blame you. I also didn't realize they had upped the price. Last time I checked it was still 70euro but I don't remember when that was.

Now that I have the coil-master...just need the time to do some experimenting, the damn thing makes coils better than any I've made in the past using various techniques.

I bought every size ribbon wire made, that I'm aware of Temco stocks...then I placed another order for round kanthol, 24-30...now I need to try nichrome. I'm going to make that Vector and other atty's sing....just need to find the right wire and wraps to suit my flavor needs.

I know many say not too much cotton in your coil but I have my cotton snug in my coil and it works for me.
Your wick to me looks too loose inside the coil. The right side wick looks to be drooping down away from top inside of the coil.
Can get popping and sometimes the wick singes if there is a gap between the inside of the coil and the wick.

Too much liquid in the wick can cause popping especially at higher watts and lower Ω builds and I've found spaced coils to be more poppy at times.

Wolf...perhaps I'll just try wadding it with more cotton or rayon....haven't tried using that much yet......

Perhaps the side view of Stevens isn't showing the amount of cotton properly, but the sagging is a sign of not enough.

I have the V2 and like this thing except for the leaking. I'll buy a couple or three of those non BFs for the parts. I should be able to get it to seal. Thanks

Your coils and wick look pretty good.

Do you have a hot leg?

Are you placing the top cap so the holes are above the coils?

Have you removed the screen yet?

Try raising the coils about 1mm too.

You may want to bring in the coils a lil closer to the posts as well if they are too close to the outer part of the cap the airholes will be in front of the coils thus not getting good air to the coil and what x said raise em up mine are up closer to the top than bottom.

. Well everything seems fine , the screen is removed and the cap is right and I strummed the coils to get rid of hot legs but I do notice the legs on the Vector always glow about half way up but it could just be because of how hot it gets that it just looks like that. I tried everything to get the legs to not glow at all but it wasn't happening.
