I,just don't get that....
I work in one of the nastiest environments conceivable and I have never had a device fail. It's all in how you take care of them. This is one of the cleanest interlockings that I work in. The rest of them I can't even take a picture of due to the complete darkness. I'm a modern day cave dweller.

Looks a little grimy but otherwise it's dry and temperature controlled.

Of course it's all in how you take care of them. Sometimes I'm mixing mortar and vaping, sometimes I put it down on the shower pan while I set a wall tile. I grab my mod with glued-up hands, occasionally it goes into the same pouch the glued-up tools go into. It gets dropped, it gets splashed. One time my REO took a 10 foot fall from my waist to concrete (no, I'm not 20 feet tall, I was 12 feet up a ladder). I picked it up and vaped it.

Could I take care of a mod like I do my cellphone? Sure. I just don't want to. I want to be able to grab it anytime and vape away. I want a mod as tough as my hammer. When the regulated chips come potted with epoxy I'll know that they are meant to hang with my job sites.

Yes sir... I was having a very hard time figuring out who you were, that email was instrumental in figuring it out. I was just used to you dealing with chad on FB. That and searching my email with the term "Bottom Feeder" was of little help. I have you written up and all of your stuff segregated in a CF Ziploc bag.
I think you have me mistaken for someone else as I do not have facebook. I'm the guy the bought the manta a while back and awaiting the nectar. You are gonna send the nectar and derri. I bugged you with a lot of emails. I apologize again for that.

Somewhere out there
www.youtube.com
4 strand twisted 30 ga 8 winds, coil master 2.5 mm rod. .79 ohms. 8 winds put the ends of the coil in a perfect relationship to the wire capture.

That's why I LOVE this atty. Single coil that outruns duals? Yep. And if you don't like the resistance, you just pull out COIL and install another COIL.

I cannot say enough about how game changing that is.

This is a pretty build too :)

Different strokes....I loved VV devices when I used tanks or direct dripping. But, for bottom feeders, I prefer mechs. I know this because I've bought and sold 4 Sunboxes and have a Svapiamo SX350 squonker for sale right now. I think, for me, it's psychological. I don't care to have all those opportunities for leaks being that close to electronics....I don't know.

Lol.... In three of my interlockings it rains when it is completely dry outside. Think Everglades add brake dust and rust dust. I worked industrial electrical construction for 21 years, four of them in Vegas no less. Tunnel work is way worse. Never once did I see a 320 ton bullet coming toward me at 70plus with nowhere to go in construction. Way worse. The lights you see are only right there for,the emergency exit. Everywhere else is pitch black, there is a reason I have more money in flashlights than in vape stuff. I carry 2 3x 18650 flashlights at work in case one would go down. Sure construction is dustier but how many days a week do you come home literally black?

I work for Metro Wmata. The Subway system in DC. I am an automatic train control tech. My job is to keep the trains from running into one another and keeping this from happening again

I didn't work there at the time, I was working on the roof of the Arai at city center in Las Vegas a the time.

I hear you on that but I'm not suggesting that the Reo or Mechs in general should be swept to the wayside but their should be an option. Sunbox still makes mechs, TMod has made tons of them as well. Sometimes I just don't want to fiddle with getting a coil to an exact resistance, I prefer the range method. .3-.8. Mechs will always be around for the purists.

I have been running custom made dna40 squonk box for about a month now. In the beginning it was not reliable but I got the kinks worked out which annoyed me cause a 500 dollar custom piece should have been right in the first place but when you order direct from italy you can't just send it for repair. I fixed it myself. But even before I used a squonk box anytime I left the house house with any regulated device I always bring a mech as a backup. It won't keep me from using or buying more regulated devices at all. I guess what I'm saying is yoy can usually fix a mech on the fly. Can't really do that with a regulated. I like both for different reasons.

Happy anniversary!
This week is Catfish's birthday.

Who would have thought a redneck with a borrowed drill press would have made it this far on a $300 investment.
I love you guys! (No Homo). I had a vision and exceeded that vision last December with the launch of the Derringer and Marquis clone run. We have come a long way baby. From the Derringer to the Stumpy this has been a blur of a year so far.

Cheers to all of you! Let's see if we can keep this winning formula working.
Congratulations Dude!
You've earned your Stars.
It's always a pleasure doing business with you.

Look what the mailman just brought me.. Holy guacamole! This thing is tiny and hits like a bag of hammers. I bought it to get used to the sxj chip and my upcoming 3 sxj TMods. I'm quickly realizing this tiny little thing has made me its Beetch... I was worried that I couldn't update the firmware for 75 watts. 60w powerful+ brought me to my knees literally.... I have one of those tanks Magaroo suggested a few pages back on the way but no sightings yet. With a Haze this thing is brutal at 40w.
I must say, as I sit on the sofa perusing this thread I have a Negus Italian Wooden Bottom Feeder w/an SX350 w/a CAM Infinite CLT V2, 2 Peko Mech Bottom Feeders w/a CAM Mephisto & Lancia & an SX Mini M w/an Erl sitting on the end table.
I feel so Old Skool in this current thread. ;-}
There are 4 Provaris in the MBR on the night stand for what I guess is referred to now as Tootle Puffing.
WTH happened?

I lovse it!! So that's what I've been doing all this time...Tootle Puffing!
Now when the smokers at site pull that last deep drag, point at my mod, and ask me "Is that drugs!?" I'll say not at all, it's Tootle Puffing!!!! LOL,
I think I'm going to stop referring to it as a hobby, it is a sport!!!!!
