I'm hitting peeps in my Vector right now. I'd like to try papa's positioning but I can't ever keep my legs from glowing when I build that far out. Nonetheless I still haven't had as good a taste from peeps as in this hurr veccy :vapor: (pretty sure this peep just benefits from high power)

I've got a Vector coming in the mail today. Gonna run home at lunch time and try to coil it up. Anyone still running the Vector? I'll have about 30 minutes to get it built, so not much time to play. What build is everyone running?

Vector, dual twisted 28's to 0.4 ohms riding high...

Slothman, Do you have a set of ceramic tweezers? The best way to eliminate hot legs is to make sure the "outside" loops of your coils are making as much contact with the first " inside" loops as possible. Sometimes the only way to accomplish this is to pinch the coils with the ceramics while the coils are fired. If the outside loops are spread away from the inside loops, this is almost always a sure case for hot legs.

I getcha. And thanks to you and all these wonderful atties, we (each of us in here) have lots to contribute to those communities, too. I've bought 3 mods through the related classies - quality people in there, and they all know who you are. In each case (and by mutual agreement) I've dropped the included atties as I have a CH arsenal to bring to bear.

Papa, CH gave you good advice. It does make a difference over there. I still cannot help but think he had something to do with my recent unicorn acquisition, but I would never be able to prove it. Even if he didn't, not a bad thing to think that CH would have done so :)

Yep, doesn't help. I may try it again sometime but in my many attempts to take vector coils to the edge, I've failed - mine sit just behind the airholes instead of just under and I never get hot legs that way

Plating with nectars today. I like em so far. Definitely a warm vape (and warm atty) at .8 ohms - really warm. Playin around to find what I like best. My only issue so far is all my driptips, every one of them look silly on it.:(

I use the white tip that originally came with the Stumpy......still a little hot though. Wondering if a higher ohms would be better, maybe like 1.2 ohms.???

The vector.. Is married to my tmod, which is married to my hip/lips.

I just replaced a 26g ni80 build with twisted 28g ni80.. 9 wraps, 2mm mandrel, .37 ohms. I'll drop a wrap or two if I rebuild the same soon. For now, I get the vanilla and the ice cream nearly full force in my lazy diy, no spitback, more vapor than I care about.

The main thing for me and the vector, though, is to keep legs short and the position just so. Top of the coil maybe 1mm below top of negative posts, set so the air scoops every part of the coil, 3 holes open.

Try a spaced coil if you haven't already. I seem to get an all around better vape with 'em on the Nectar.

This one's spaced a little bit, it was wrapped on a coil master but spaced out a little when mounting and I didn't pinch. Not sure if it's giving the same vape as a proper spaced coil or not but none of the wraps are touching

it's not a huge difference but it is noticeable for me. My micros were too small and didn't cover the available air so that may be why.
And yeah, a great vape from 1.3 ohms! Long battery life to boot.

Wish I could find a black 14mm atty or maybe one with a bit better TC build options:

No fear do a black, not sure if any good. Can you not get a 22mm cup for it, 14mm suck full stop!

Looks cracking by the way [emoji6]
