Usually I love my postman, but not so much at the moment. My three atties posted on 20 July still haven't turned up :( That makes your atties look even better, Wolfenstark.

Maybe today ...

Are you able to find out if they are in the country ?
As you would know Australia Post are not the fastest operators but still its been a while.
Only deliveries I've had to take four weeks or more have been fast tech or once when some juice was looked at by the agricultural dept.

It may test batteries. I'll check out what I can do with the leads on it when I get a chance. I got me an AW 18650 1600 in it to run it :)

It doesn't test batteries. Only VD and resistance. I can screw a LP grand to it but not a TMOD. The leads only check wire resistance or you can anneal wire with em. I really got no use for those features :)

I've phone Aus Post several times. They can see it in the US, but have no record of it in Australia. However, they say that, as it's letter class mail, it won't necessarily get scanned at this end.

I haven't given up hope. A little while back I had a package that took 7 weeks from Greece for no apparent reason. A replacement had been posted and was received a week before the original package turned up. It isn't six weeks yet!

Thanks Tom. I know there's not much you can do. I'll just try to remain unnaturally optimistic, at least until the end of next week :D

As far as I know all my packages get scanned when they enter Australia but thats it until they are delivered.

Yes, even that Greek package I mentioned was scanned on arrival in Australia. I think that, because it was letter class, she was assuming it was a very small envelope that could have slipped through a scan. However, a package containing 3 atties is unlikely to be missed in that way.

Letter class is that first class mail ?
I do mine priority and Tom has advised against first class for international orders.

The tracking number starts with LC, which apparently means letter class; and I think that means first class. There has been no tracking - not even on the USPS site.

I just paid my $27 shipping; postage did cost around that, but there's no mention of priority that I can see in the pic of the envelope Tom sent me. I think it should have gone priority for that amount?

@btobw If it's any consolation at all, I just had a package from Tom sent about the time yours was sent go awol (to Italy, of all places) and it still make it to me eventually. Tracking was non-existent.

This is apparently my curse, as I've had atties, supplies, and mods go to Israel, Japan, and the UK by mistake in the past. All made it to me, never had a package lost in >50 attempts.

It is quite a large consolation actually - thank you Papa_Lazarou :D

I had one go to Austria, but the AU/AT coding is an obvious reason for that. It did eventually get returned to the sender, but not until after it was "delivered" in Germany.

I remain optimistic!

I know we had this conversation last year, but depending on the country, First Class International Package is the way to go when shipping from the US. Most things I get from the US I choose First Class International Package and it gets to Canada within 5-7 days. Ordered 4 batteries from Illumn couple weeks ago and go them in 5 days for $8 shipping. Got a tracking number and they were tracked the entire way.

The few times that Priority International is the only option a vendor will ship, it cost almost 3 times as much, and takes almost a month.

First Class International Package does not have tracking to every country, I know forsure to Canada it does and I think Australia is on that list as well.

$25-30 in shipping isn't a huge deal when ordering a couple hundred worth of stuff. Though it is annoying to pay 2-3 times more for shipping and have a longer wait for delivery. And to top it off, most things that get sent Priority get dinged for tax and COD fee.
