I sure hope it is not a competition. If so, I will just stay out of it and enjoy my vape :)
Not at all as far as I'm concerned. I just wish I could get what I paid for from Volpi more than 4 months ago. I will not be buying nor suggesting Sunbox until either I get my $600 back or the mod(s) I pre-paid for back in July. What would you guys do or say if I sat on your money for 4+ months?

I know I would not be very nice to Volpi and would take it public if need be. But, I don't have a business that could suffer for me vocalizing, either.

That being said, if it were you sitting on my money for 4+ months, I would be uncomfortable with that amount, but I trust you because I have been doing business with you for over a year and know you have too much integrity to do that to your customers. That isn't a .... kissing comment. I am too brutally honest to blow smoke up someone's ash.

My thoughts exactly. The funny thing is the whole thing started over them (Andrea and Volpi) begging for a stumpy, nectar, Remm, and a Le Magistur, being who they were I said no problem and sent them via EMS (very fast and expensive shipping) and they told me they would have my mod (black Delrin with carbon fiber e8) in August. Then it was September, then October, then it would be at the showcase in Austin. I tried to contact them to see if they would actually have it for the showcase event before dumping yet another $600 into this situation. No response, I hedged and stayed home. He responded 2 days after the showcase to say he didn't have it anyway, so I made the right call.... I have sent 5 messages to both Volpi and Andrea since then, none of which have been responded to. Just a heads up to all of you that I will be posting all of these details and copies of the pms both on his BF group and mine December 1st. I told Volpi to expect thislast week. I figured that should give him plenty of time to react. Still no return message from either of them. The gloves come off 12/1/15

Frankly, I'm surprised you've been able to keep quiet this long. Not piling on, but I never felt good about their business. Don't like having to be 'in the club' to buy a product. Feels a bit elitist to me.

Agreed, I trusted them, at the time we were hashing out the details on a 20 piece run of Catfish edition E8s that would be sold with a Stumpy and a Derringer. I trusted them completely. As you know I'm not much on pre-orders either to me or for me and this yet again is why. I could put the Cam-R into production tomorrow if I did but I'm just not going to ask you to do something I wouldn't do. I could die tomorrow, then what? (I'm fat, I vape like I invented it, and My social filter has a few gaping holes in it; this is a very real possibility.). So now My loved ones are on the hook for $30k to Vapers all over the world? That's a crappy legacy to leave behind. Plain and simple I hate owing people products or money.

I seem to remember being told to calm down and remember that Sunbox is only 2 guys and even if they have a mod in for repair for 6-7 months. Be patient, Sunbox has the absolute best customer service and they always take care of their people, and if you can't grab one of the 10-15 mods they release, you just have to get on their good side and they will treat you right.

So yeah I shut up and apologised for daring to be irritated at incredibly long wait times, broken promises and over charges, but while I like Sunbox products in general, I have had many issues with the way they run their business, and from what I've seen, not much has changed in the last year.

Good luck and I'm sure it will all work out in the end, but I'm also pretty sure you're not a happy camper.

Kentastic

With that being said I'm thinking twice about sending in my e7 for repairs..... I have an extra Dna 40 board which might need to be swapped out..... email correspondence didn't give me any bad vibes..... Volpi (if that's who I was communicating with ... Seemed very helpful and accommodating Signed his name at the the bottom of the email) Volpi made a claim sating he would replace it if need be saying, "just send it in, I've repaired quite a few" it may just be a loose wire but to send the extra board just in case. He never mentioned TURN AROUND TIME or PRICE.!?

Ken.... George here..... would you suggest I get specifics on pricing and turn around time ironed out before I send it in with my new board?? I bought this second hand without any proof of purchase (lesson learned..... never again) or would you recommend I try looking elsewhere for the repair...... I've heard of a guy that repairs them here in the states.....waiting 6 months would drive me insane. I don't have your patience ....6 months for a repair is utterly inexcusable! ! If a business isn't prepared to service their product (an expensive high end mod) in a timely fashion they should out source that facet of their business especially for U.S returns.

Man, I'm sorry to read all of this. Stick to your guns brother and I certainly hope it works out for you in the end especially after you did what you did on your end in good faith.

Changing a board in an e7 is child's play... Find someone in the USA to do it and pay the price. By sending it to Italy even if he fixes it for free you still have to get it there and back which will be very close to $100. As I recall the going rate for a simple e7 board swap was $30-40 plus the board and should take about a week start to finish. And before you ask I don't mess with the dna40. I pay to have mine swapped even if it sunbox's fault. I don't cry, I just see it as part of being a vaper.

Thanks for your support. Any issues with the orange e8?

Basically what Tom said. I'd pay someone here to have it replaced, unless you want to take the chance of it being a long wait, and still costing you close to $100.

PM me and I can give you a recommendation.

Have you received it yet?

Yes, ma'am. I've got all kinds of mod happiness going on. Atties, too, mostly thanks to Tom.

It with mixed emotions that I say here and now - this is the golden age of vaping.
