I quite enjoy the Manta V2 but the NarDA beats the pants off of it IMO. The Stumpy is just okay IMO. Much more airflow than the NarDA and not nearly as much flavor. My manta is solid. Best 22mm I've used with single coils. I'm on the NarDa list and will be on the black edition stumpy. How would you guys compare those 2 atties to the manta? Similar? Better? Thanks everyone. Keep doing what you're doing, Tom.
You will need to push the positive post down into the peek insulator Then tighten the pin. It's couldn't be tightened anymore smart guy it's how you sent it to me and I couldn't have tightened it anymore holding it with a towel and wrenching it with an Allen ..... Do a public service announcement on your customer service and how you disrespect your customers by calling us idiots...... who put food on your table...... !
Don't bother to respond to me UNSUB'ED
Shouldn't have bought another thing from you after the Derringer..... You also blamed me then come on here as with the Manta and say it's been the Bain of your existence..... Get a life!
I haven't been given a price yet but the cost difference is mainly attributable to the fact that the pvd stumpys will come with a matching stainless/pvd chuff drip tip. These still aren't back from the coating company.Does anyone know a ballpark price for the black stumpy? I heard it may be a bit more than the ss?

Guess I finally get to see this one go down. I always miss the good stuff.![]()
Im'ma go help finish up a 3rd grade science project now.
And I thought my teachers were tough. Science project over xmas break. LOL

Were they up for sale somewhere?Missed out on a second NarDA tonight so I guess I'll have to wait and "settle" for my Chowder modded version. #firstworldproblems
On the Nar Mods website. 70 sold out in less than a minute. Were they up for sale somewhere?
Perfect! Thank you for the response. That'swhat I was looking for. I don't build low so your confirmation on the single in the narda was nice. I do build a dual here and there but I like to make it simple on myself. Thank you and I hope you have a great new year(and new years eve!). I look forward to being here with all of you in 2016.Have 6 Stumpy's, 3 mantas, and 1 Narda with 2 more on the way. IMHO , the Stumpy is one of the best out there at the moment. The Stumpy likes big coils at low ohms ( kanthal) and is my go to for TC. Currently running 5 of them in TC, ( 2 of them with single spaced coils and two with dual 1 strand z-coil verts all 3mm) All of them give me excellent flavor. The TC Stumpy's are all running at 0.11 ohms and between 430-450 degrees at 30 watts. The one that I am running with kanthal is straight up dual 3mm 24's to 0.3 ohms and it is a beast.
Of the 3 Manta's I am currently running 2. Both with dual coils ( one with twisted Tiger's) at 0.4 ohms. The Manta is a flavor machine for sure, just has a wee bit too tight of a draw for me when I run with certain flavors. I might add that I had one of the Manta's short on me and cause a wiring meltdown in one of my sqounkers, but I pulled my pants up and fixed the problem myself. The meltdown probably could of been avoided had I not pushed the limits of the mod.
The Narda is another fine atty in which I find to be a flavor monster with a bit of a tight air flow as well. Running my current unit with a 2mm twisted 26 built to 0.3 with the coil planted dead in the middle between the posts and afc's wide open. It kind of amazes me that it performs so well and produces excellent quality vapor with just a single coil installed and the draw that it has.
The long and short of it is that almost any atty can be made to perform well. It just takes a bit of willingness on the users part to throw different builds at them in order to find the sweet spot for that particular unit. Just tossing one build at almost any atty and declaring it junk without experimenting with different builds is to me a bit of a joke. No atty is going to be the end all be all for any one person, but by taking the time to get the most out of what you have to work with just might throw a surprise at you. That and the fact that it never hurts to play.
As always YMMV. Hope you all are getting ready to celebrate the new upcoming year. Thanks for reading! Peace!...distorto out.![]()
