You will notice I drilled (actually milled) the holes a little high, this was intentional, I do that on some of the stilted (tall posts) attys. This will make a little leakage possible but it will cut down drastically on dry hits.
Yeah I see that, looks perfect. I will take a lil leakage over dry hit any day.

The Kennedy would have been better if I could have done the same thing but leakage would have been eminent.
You did a great job on the kennedy I have not had many leaks and it wicks pretty well plus I put a lil extra cotton in it and keep the coils about half way between the tubes and the top, works well for me. As a matter of fact I have never had any issues with any of the atties Ive gotten from you all are as good or better than originally made.

What do you Stumpy freaks recommend I use as my first coil...a 2.5mm or 3.mm ID? I'm planning on a single 24g straight down the middle.

I echo what Digital said. 5/6 wraps, 2.5mm ID on that 24g.

Got the 2 Puffs in the mail today! Had moderate machine oil to clean out. Two of the AFC orings broke just trying to change out to a different color, but there were about 5 extra in the spare parts bag. Small burrs in both negative posts.

Once cleaned up though it's a nice atty. One thing though, the two side air cutouts of the 2P logo, I'm having to leave them open. If you close them off, then the top air won't line up to hit your coils correctly. The side air cutouts are so small that it doesn't look like it will leak easily.

Doesn't sound too inviting, Havok.

Lol, its really not too bad after a bit of cleanup. The air wide open is similar to wide open Hastur, but the top and side air combo works well.

I won't be getting a second one though. [emoji20]

I think I'm going to try a single Clapton in my stumpy in temp control for the xl, first time using TC on it . I think it should work well 22gx32g nickel, we shall see.
22 being kanthal, 32 being nickel? Sounds cool...

I have twisted 31x4 in most of mine and 1 or 2 with 2x28 and 32 wrapped claptons. I like both but I would give the nod to the 31/4.

I'll see what I can do but I'm starting to remember my initial apprehension of that one now.
