:offtopic: Just curious has anyone ran into a rba that may have come with a mod that could not fire on another device at all? I still have one like that which the thread post is too short for anything I ever owned. Why in the world would they have made one like that.

Public service announcement to all Manta Owners:

It has come to my attention that vaping requires a little common sense.
If you see this do not vape, tighten down the positive posts.

Do you see the problem? Or am I some sort of genius?

If you haven't figured out the issue already the positive post and negative post are touching each other. That's a dead short. A certain mod with a recently re-designed 510 will on occasion back out the 510 screw if the atty is screwed in repeatedly with out regard for logic or common sense. If you see this occur on the manta or nearly any other atty; stop! Do not fire take unscrew the atty and tighten down the 510 screw (on the bottom of the atty) this would be referred to as maintenance which will become more frequent with certain atty/mod combinations as well as how hard that combination is screwed together as well as how frequently.

If you see 2 pieces of metal in the deck of an atty touching where they didn't previously there is an issue.

This screw:

Tighten it down.

Had a high end atty like that (SAT) that wouldn't fire on any mod without an adjustable pin and even at that, the pin had to be adjusted almost all of the way out...:nah:

Send it to me... I will shim it to work correctly. An Atty should have 4.4-4.7mm of protrusion. Less than this and you will have these issues, much more than this and you will cause problems with your 510.

I got 2 and if I thought it could fixed I'd send them. I don't have a way to measure them but I messed with the bottom screw and it was never long enough to make a contact.

I received my Stumpy RDA yesterday. Looks great, thanks

Manta note:
I own a Manta V2 and it was shipped with the positive post touching. They have a soft brass
flat head positive post screw that was almost impossible to tighten up without damaging the head. After some time
Vaping the RDA, it will loosen the positive pot so be careful. It’s a very nice RDA, but the juice well is to
small for squonking I think. Once the RDA is overfilled you must blow out the air flow channels or it will gurgle
Until you do.

I re-make and replace almost every center pin on every atty I sell, I'm pretty confident I could make a new pin and shim it for you.

I remade all of the center pins in stainless on the bottom fed version and I even made the last 3 batches with Allen button heads milled and profiled to fit perfectly. I use Allen buttons and reduced Allen buttons to,reduce the problem above. A slotted screw in a Reo with the new 510 is problematic because the slot actually catches on the slot in the mods 510 and backs it out. As long as you know the problem exists and keep an eye on it you won't have an issue.

I meant to say copper not brass.
Thanks, if it ever comes loss again I will send it to you.
I understood... You had a stock manta with the weird pin that JDTech installs. Most of those went in the bin on the ones I did. Some of them were returned in the spare parts kit but I just found them very cheesy and couldn't see re-using them. I'm glad my Manta days are pretty much over. The manta was one of the most loved yet most problematic attys that I have done. The manta taught me to be very leery of Philippino attys and if given the option o will always chose American attys so if there is a problem I can get it straightened out quickly.

Not a doubt in my mind you could fix them but they are cheap Chinese RBAs and not worth the your time or postage for that matter lol but thanks.
