Got the Rogue washed up, coiled, wicked with KGD, and vaping away. I'm loving this little RDA!

Built dual coils, 26g, 8 wraps that measured at 0.4 ohms exactly. Lifted them to just below level with the stock center post screw. Didn't leave the coil legs long enough, so the coils wound up being just inside of the AFC holes. All the monkeying to position the coils was annoying, as was trapping the negative leads, but it really does vape great! Flavor is slightly less that I'm used to on the Mephisto, but could be due to coil placement. Will break it down and rebuild soon to find out. Airflow wide open is a tad tighter than a wide open Mephisto, exactly how I like it. Also, could not get my CV cloud chaser delrin drip tip to fit, so went with an Origen wide bore tip that hasn't been getting any love lately.

Has anyone tried vertical coils on the Rogue yet?

Negative ghost rider, that pattern is full..

Looks like stainless to me. Definitely not brass. Non-magnetic ( not plated steel)
Not yellow (not brass)
Not red (not copper)
Not plated see pics
Looks like stainless to me. Maybe not 304 or 18-2 but stainless of some sort.
Notice the screw I ground compared to the gold plated center post. No yellow, no red, non magnetic. Leaves zinc or stainless. Zinc would crumble under pressure. I say stainless. Notice no coating in the pics. My original thought would have been chrome plated steel but there is no etch coating and its non magnetic. I suppose solid nickel would also be a possibility but very doubtful due to cost and difficulty maching a part that small. Either way solid nickel would actually be less reactive than stainless making it an even better option.

Btw stainless steel will rust in the correct conditions, albeit at a much slower rate than steel or iron. I'm betting on 303 stainless at this point.

After reading this I change my bet to 200 series stainless steel.

Thanks CH. Here are a couple of pics of what happened, although it's tough to get the tablet to pick up the color exactly as it appears. I soaked all the parts in warm water with a little dish detergent, but left them in about 10 hours longer than I'd intended There was brown residue under the screws, and where the silver is gone on them, it looks like brass underneath. Same thing happened on threads of the lid of the top cap but to a much lesser extent. Other parts are unaffected.

There seemed to have been more of the same on the outside of the lid, but I'm only seeing a tiny spot of it now. I'm now wondering if it rubbed off and if this might not actually be some kind of deposit.

Dish detergent as in Dawn, joy, Palmolive? Or dishwasher detergent as in electasol, jet dry, cascade? Dishwasher detergent is some nasty stuff, that coupled with hard mineral laden water could yield results like that.

It was Dawn that I used. Water here isn't generally too hard, but come to think of it, I think they flushed lines a few weeks back, and there still might be some residual effects.

Due to the quantity on this being in stone, please just tell me if you want on or off the list and I will make it happen, I promise.
Bird, if you really want off I'm taking your spot and getting 2 but I'm waiting until you decide for sure.

It's okay Benthos, I fixed my list as well.

I'm in depending on price. Can you put me on the derringer list, just incase.

Lovin the Rogue! :)

26g nichrome 80, 6/7 wraps, 3/32 ID even with the top of the center post and just under the air hole. KGD wick. Just under .3ohm. Very good flavor and respectable clouds.

Very happy so far. Taking it to work with me tomorrow for the road&leak test. If it doesn't leak it's a keeper.

Thanks again chowder! :)

Aw, I'm sorry you have to work tomorrow. I hope you're getting double time at least.

Mine hasn't leaked yet....and I'm a habitual over-squonker. The only way it will leak is if you WAY over squonk.
