the pin sticks out maybe a 16th of an inch.ive went and gone against everything in me and tightend it down as tight as it would go and every 1/4 turn I hit the fire button and nothing.i took the pin out and it threads on hard with the pin out so its seeming like something is wrong with the threads on the odin..not the pin.the reo is the one tamipac had with the purple door and silver hammertone finish.its like new so I don't know what the heck it is.i traded off my cyclone for this odin with vince159 and he said its a CH atty.but hasn't let me know if its an auth or clone yet.cali time diff so don't know when ill hear from him.im baffled.im a construction worker and took small engine repar in high school and have worked with my hands my whole life.so im pretty sure of my ability to figure things out...but this is a trip,i truly haven't a clue.im not a profession atty guy or anything but I didn't think hookin up an odin could be this wacky!...sheesh

If you have the deck bottomed out with no connection your 510 is blown out (stretched too deep). Is your 510 screw ground down or smooth?

the pin is smooth,it just blows me away the magma works,rm3 works, cyclone works.so your thinkin I need to put a S/O kit in because the connection has been shoved down?...right?btw the deck never bottoms out it just stops cuz it gets so hard to turn.was scarey tightening down the atty when it was hardly wanting to turn.in the end it never bottomed out

The pin is pressed into a rubber grommet so you can go inside and push or wiggle it upward a little bit. Assuming you have checked continuity everywhere else.

Do you mean pull it out a little? I have tried it on 4 working Reos and it won't fire on any of them but it fires on the VW mod I tried it on to pulse the coils. Could the center pin be pushed in too far do you think?

I just got a PM from pdib. Apparently the screw IS adjustable so I will give it a shot in the morning after I get over my pissedoffedness at it!

the pin commin out the bottom of the atty is ok,it sticks out about a 16th of an inch give or take.took the delrin out of the reo and the nipple the tube and bottle slide onto wasn't very tight and juice was all over.so at least be able to fix the leak but don't know about connectivity issues.Rick

Just a note here Rick, Rob mentioned a short while back that some of the newer grands had kinda shoddy 510's in them. I had the same problem putting a CH Odin on one of my grands not threading down flush and not firing. I very carefully re-tapped the 510 in it and the atty them screwed all the way down and fired finally. I would suggest sending it in to Rob or Tom to have it done, because it is very easy to crush the wafer thin washer in the 510...

Is it just the Odins then that have a problem? His other atty's are firing fine.

That was the only one I had a problem with. Authentic and clone alike. I have heard of some people having problems with Mephisto's, but that one has a pin that can be adjusted. I have to adjust mine on occasion.

Anyone know where I can get an engraved button cover? I think my setup needs a little more writing on it. :p

I swear I would trade one/all of my children for Rob to come out with a flat top Reo Grand that is just a millimeter wider to fit 22mm RDAs flush.

Also, if anyone is frustrated with different vertical builds in the Veritas try a single horizontal coil pretty much blocking the air hole. It's what worked for me and kept me from selling it. Not that it wasn't an awesome BF conversion by CH, but I was really having a hard time getting a decent vape out of it for my style of vaping. The single coil almost blocking the air hole completely changed it to a winner for me. Flavor equal to my magma and quite a surprising bit of vapor production as a bonus.

just thought I'd share this with y'all... my favourite atty: the frankendoge. chowderhead BF doge deck, negative grub screws from hobo v2 to eliminate the "negscrews touching topcap" problem some doges (including the authentic apparently) have, positive screw and copper barrel from FT 1:1 copper doge clone, pmma chuff also from FT. I also have the 1:1 non BF deck for it, so I can use this rig on my reo or a standard mod.

thanks tom!
