I bought it from someone here in Texas and they don't know what they let go! It easily beats all my Reos and I couldn't tell you why but anything I put on there is good.

Pauly3 maybe? I traded my Kawasaki green SL/LP to him...

Now you're talking about a mini hitting better and or harder than a s/o grand? Not possible! Aw 18490 vs vtc5? That would be like a Mini Cooper hitting a dump truck and totaling the dump truck.

I'm talking the way everything tastes on it.

There are certainly a bunch of us Texans here. I think I remember you getting that, but from who, it skips my memory. I bought a couple of attys from 2 different Texans here.

Texas represents at least 30% of my customer base, California would make up another 20%.

Sounds like your building your coils too low on the grands. The voltage sag from the 18490 is giving you a slow ramp up and less power/heat output on the mini with the same resistance. Try building your coils for the grand with thicker wire to get a similar effect. Bigger than 27 has no business on a mini, where the grand performs best with 24-26.

I light of recent developments with classifieds issues; should I grind the big "M" of the top of the Marquis clone deck? What say you?

Bad idea. Because it's like trying to hide something.

I think the responsibility lies with the sellers to give a true and fair appraisal of what they are selling. In that respect, i have not been disappointed on ECF.

I read a post (but slept since then) and i think Technonut said something along the lines that a scam operating on PP or Ebay was meaning people were claiming refunds and returning cloned gear in place of the originals they were sent. Rather ingenious i thought, but anyway.

For a moderator to have the ability to spot this kind of chicanery would mean they'd have to know more about every atty made than is possible to know, or reasonable to expect. Which is why it's easier to dodge the entire issue.

I am interested to see if a description such as "modded to bottom feed" and "clone" would fly, since it's truthful and accurate. So the issue is really one of fraud.

 26 is all I use on everything.

The issue is pita ecf policy.

I lack the power to effect change on that front, but without the "M" it becomes a clone by their definition and not a counterfeit by their definition. I remember when the ChiYou was first cloned if you removed the logo it was ok to sell as long as it was described as such.

Actual patented trademarks are virtually non existant in this industry. Case and point the Reo Grand has a design patent not a trademark patent. The only real benefit of the design patent is to keep someone from getting a patent on the Reo and forcing ReoMods out of bussines.

i'd prefer you applied your mind to some of the other points i raised too in my post. I'm not here to argue the pros and cons of ECF policy, because those are a given. When Angelina Jolie came to my place, my father invoked the 'my house, my rules' clause!

I think co-ops are, in fact, the most unregulated area of ECF policy, but it's clearly stated to be the case - so perhaps that's another avenue to explore. Besides which, if CH has lists of 60 people ready to buy what he sells, i fail to see railing about rules makes a bit of difference to you, him or i.

Agreed.... I think.
We are all playing in ECF's sandbox. They are the "Authority Having Juridiction" in is not my job or goal to change the Unchangeable. I'm just trying to follow the rules set before me. The removal of the manufacturer's logo gets that done; FACT. The question posed was to ask if I should do it in case you would like to have the liberty of selling it on the classifieds at a later date as YOU see fit, perhaps I was unclear. This is a yes or no question and for the most part not up for debate. I personally would rather not go through the hassle of grinding the logo off of 30 attys but I will if you wish. I am not trying to argue with ECF or you I'm just trying to make selling on the classifieds later a possibility. With no logo you would be fine. If there is a wayward moderator that would like to "straighten me out" on this im all ears.

Mr chowder. I think you are doing a great thing here. You have made it possible for bfers to have a plethora of attys to choose from. I can't wait to see what you come up with for mid sized attys. Maybe a 18mm chowder original?

As it stands the company that was going to make this happen has sold out to another entity that I'm fairly certain has no interest in my/our needs. However, if I can build my empire (lol) big enough to sell 500 pieces there will be some great attys I can bring to the table. Imagine a 18mm Derringer... An 18mm triple post cyclone with a coned deck and an afc that works. 18mm Mephisto? VPX has promised me a functional prototype for the Reactor afc and I would need to find a machine shop to have it built. So there is one viable option and to make that happen I only have to buy 100 reactors. I am fairly confident I could sell 100 Reactor/afc/bf attys with little problem.
