I think this points out the problem. I'm tempted to plane one of my caps by sanding it down to see if that does the trick.
I was going to do that but try this test: place the cap with closed afc over mouth and finger plug the drip tip hole only then use finger to seal drip tip and seam. Former produces air, later does not. Seems to indicate the leak comes from the seam, as Tom said but I'm still confused, going to try different o-ring I don't have a tip that can seal the seam. Also tried tape over the seam with no effect.
You can sell clones on classifieds. Just can't sell counterfeit (1:1). If you remove all identifying marks you are good. If u notice Rob cuts the atomic afc down to remove markings to make It a rm4.
So that's why my rm4 leaks like a sieve

I'm just not getting the flavor out of it that I was expecting. I've tried tons of different builds, and while I get good flavor, its not as good as I'd like it to be. My Plume Veil has been my go to for a while now, gonna take a lot to even come close to dethroning it lol.

And you've tried dual coiling it alrdy?

Yea, I did a few different dual builds. There's good flavor there. It's just not that smack you in the mouth overwhelming flavor that I love. I'm probably the only one around that doesn't care for the Veritas lol.

What wicking media are you using? What impedance?
i have come to the conclusion that I can't use the Veritas for strong juices, it's just too much.

I use dual coil .32-.34 dual coil 6 wrap 2.28mm mandrel 26gauge. The only way I could get a lot of flavor out of the Plumeveil was to run the top plastic part all the way down to shrink the chamber and put clear tape over the upper holes around the drip tip.

Yeah.... For me the veritas has significantly better flavor than the plumeveil. The only thing I really liked about the PV was the airflow. But leakproofness + flavor, veritas is right on top for me.

I'm running a 24g center coil I think it's 8 wraps around a 3/32 mandrel, coming in at .6ohm on my plume veil. I screw the top adjustment almost all the way down, and it gives me killer flavor. Best I've ever gotten out of any atty.

As it stands the company that was going to make this happen has sold out to another entity that I'm fairly certain has no interest in my/our needs. However, if I can build my empire (lol) big enough to sell 500 pieces there will be some great attys I can bring to the table. Imagine a 18mm Derringer... An 18mm triple post cyclone with a coned deck and an afc that works. 18mm Mephisto? VPX has promised me a functional prototype for the Reactor afc and I would need to find a machine shop to have it built. So there is one viable option and to make that happen I only have to buy 100 reactors. I am fairly confident I could sell 100 Reactor/afc/bf attys with little problem.

If only I could Like this post 10 times more

I was so sorry to see the Reactor AFC get crushed by capitalism, I tried a couple of 22mm atties, just don't like them,

Hoping you can get sumpin good going in the under 20mm range

Rob doesn't cut the AFC down, he grinds off the lettering on the AFC. The AFC is still the same height. It is just thinner. This doesn't add to the leaking that occurs with the Atomic though. It is the design of the atty itself. If the holes in the posts and the AFC were higher off the deck, there would hardly be any leakage. The reason for this is so he can't really take any heat for selling a clone. The Cyclone shares the same flaw as the Atomic...

The Reactor/afc is on life support with a glimmer of hope... The Channel Cat is a floater. I still have cards up my sleeve.

The Cyclone doesn't leak one tiny bit

Glad yours doesn't, the two I had leaked at least 1-2ml per day either through the air hole on the standard cap or the AFC on the Cyclops cap.... That is why I no longer own them... and yes, they had the lower feed and drain hole on the post.

The atomic clone is available with no markings from EHPro. I would bet that's the one he uses. If I order enough of any clone I could get it plain or if I wanted to a picture of a Catfish with enormous genitals.

Sorry I should have been more clear. My meaning was he likely machines off the lettering on his lathe. Thanks for clarifying. I'm a pro at confusing people[emoji47]
