Just a heads up.. Dental floss does tighten up the top cap. Not sure if it can stay put the way I need it too, but it does make a noticeable difference. I may take it to work with me tomorrow, but I have hard time leaving my Plume Veil at home. The Vertex is nice, but honestly (and again I'm probably the only one) I'm in love with the PV.. It gives me the best flavor I've ever gotten from any atty. Vertex included.

Glad to hear the dental floss may be part of a solution. Not sure I agree about the Plumeveil however. I found it to be the most aggravating 22mm atty I have used to date. I used my Vertex (from the first short run) and never had an issue. I will compare mine to the most recent batch. Perhaps MommaBird will chime in as she has one from each batch as well. I think I have an authentic coming in for send in service, I will take a few measurements to see what the issue could be.

I've heard so many great things about the vertex.
No matter which atty I use i wind up over Squonking. So I'm used to just wiping juice away from the airholes

The future is bleak...

You need a Marquis or Veritas. Nearly impossible to oversquonk. Great flavor also.

Will do;) I think a slightly larger oring may fix the issue.

I'm in talks over the o-ring issue now. I think the issue isn't so much the size as the hardness of the o-ring I bet 2 steps harder in the same size would be perfect. I really do hate buna o-rings.

I love my reo but it's not my primary mod. Up until a week ago it was my ranger and now it's my pipe.
The reo is for work as some times work can be pretty serious abuse on a mod. I use it when I'm driving once another mod goes dry (friends don't let friends drip and drive and what not). I just can't seem to be happy with just one flavor. Now I know I know, get another squonker right? I enjoy the ritual too.
Not that that is relevant to what I quoted, but this is. I've sold a couple atomizers because they are hard to build and after hearing about the veritas I know I would lose my mind there. You may have me on the marquis if the vertex oring issue proves to be unfixable but I've got high hopes. So many good things said about an atty by people that I always listen to. I'm really hoping it lives up to the hype and that we can get the top cap to stay put. Hopefully I've got one in my mailbox this afternoon. As far as oversquonking im so used to a messy reo that it doesn't even bother me. All 20 of my tan undershirts have juice stains on them from me wiping them off.

Can someone post a pic of this dental floss pic? Also shouldn't we be able to do trial and error on different o rings? Measuring the diameters? If it's a issue for me and someone will just post up what I need to buy I'll go out and pic up a couple to try to figure out the best fit. It would just have to be available at lowes or auto zone as those are the only two options for me in this tiny town. God I can't wait for the next move.

The future is bleak...

I spoke with my supplier and she has a fresh pile of O-rings for us. They will be in the Lancia order. Didn't you buy a Rogue? I thought you did... The Rogue is leak resistant, small and simple to build. The only let down with the Rogue is the afc as it comes is a little loose in the draw department but it's smal, light, and mess resitant. If you are a habitual oversquonker I would put this on your short list. The Marquis is easier to build than the Veritas yes but it's still rocket science compared to the Rogue. Taste is better on the Marquis and Veritas when driven hard .2-.4ohms. The Rouge is a better choice if you are interested in higher resistances.

Been vaping on the Vertex for about 4 hours now. I soaked it in Dawn when I got home and then scrubbed lightly with toothbrush followed by a rinse with water. I then let it dry and built it. This morning the cutting oils are shining through! Hate that shizzzzzz so much. I should've done my usual diet coke, then vodka then dawn wash like I always do. I know Tom said he soaked in Acetone although I'm inhaling something and it sucks. I guess it's bathtime again this evening.

LP/SL Grands are listed again now. I checked this morning and Rob had a note about them being available again Tuesday or Wednesday. Guess it was Tuesday.

Mine came yesterday and I haven't looked at it real good yet. Will look at it tonight and give y'all a comparison. The one that I have from the short run has the black oring and fits nice and snug but no too snug. May not get the new one built till the weekend tho. Am heading back down to Charllotte for a few days to spend some time with the new grandbaby [emoji4]

That's similar to my process and I never have issues. Very hot water/dawn soak for 15-20 mins. Then lightly brushing while running under hot tap water including letting it run through the squonk hole for a couple of minutes and they are good to go.

Use more wick, it provides squonk tolerance. I like the rayon lets me taste when in need of squonk. Dry hits tolerable but over dry and the wick go poof!

I guess I should feel lucky here, but oversquonking hasn't been an issue for me for several months. I guess when I switched to 22mm atty's is when the problem stopped. The Atomic, Cyclone, & Reactor I always had oversquonking issue with... I have zero issues with the Mephisto, Derringer, and the Nuppin'... I have tried several times to oversquonk and haven't been successful at all... That's a good thing...
