Finally got to build the Vertex late last night and discovered a serious issue with it. Drinks juice too fast! [emoji14]

Accidentally grabbed fatter kanthal than intended and built some dual parallels at 6 wraps. Metered out to 0.19 ohms which was way lower than I had intended but figured may as well try it out. Flavor off this thing is ridiculous! IMO, far better than Mephisto or Rogue. After hitting it about 15 minutes I noticed the top cap creeping upwards and no longer wanting to seat fully, I'm guessing because that red oring was heating up? Anyway, I cut the oring out and will install the thinner black one tonight after securing some waxed floss underneath it.

Thoroughly impressed with the vape from the Vertex! Even with such a low ohm build, the top cap didn't get overly hot like the Mephisto does.

This is my personal opinion, and you can get offended if you want. Honestly I don't care. But I've read every post here about this Vertex, hell I started the conversation about its top cap. No one has said anything, or been under any impression that they should be expecting authentic quality. I don't even own the authentic, so how do I know that the authentic top cap isn't the same way. My point here is.. Yes we all paid 1/3 of the cost of the authentic, woo hoo go us! But before you go making comments like 'finally someone takes it for what it is, a clone.' Get your facts straight brother. I'm usually a non confrontational kinda person, especially when it's over ridiculous stuff like this. But don't call everyone in the thread out on something that no one has even brought up. None of us as far as I have seen, expect $200 quality from a $50 device. Being as the product that we bought from this thread hasn't met the expectations we may have had for it, I find it pretty acceptable to bring the issues to head here. Bottom line, don't be an idiot here. We're all friends. We're all here for the same reason. Now have a nice day, and thanks again for the lists.. You do a great job on them.

Friends don't call friends Idiots when the Friend was stating facts.. I'm doing the best I can with getting replacement top caps it the wheels are turning slow. If someone would care to post a video of the problem that I could send to my soon to be ex-clone vendor we could expedite the situation. The vendor in question is requiring a video of the issue before they will make a move. Best video gets a free Mephisto or CLT2 as well as their top cap if it has the desired effect. Even if it doesn't the best video still gets a free bf Mephisto or bf CLT2. Deal? Now let's be civil. Let me fight for you! But give me a few bullets for my battle rifle.

At .19 and a chamber that small, I bet it does drink juice. That's a lot of watts to cool off.

It is what it is.. Maybe idiot wasn't the right choice of words. But calling people out on false statements is the same to me as any name calling. We all have the same product with the same issue, clone or not. If there isn't a video by the time I get home then I'll make one.

Not fair! I don't even have mine yet!!! Id be posting videos all day long if mine had an issue.

Can't yall measure them with fancy calipers? If it's something that can be fixed with Orings I have no issues buying a couple to test them out (once I get mine, if it has issues that is). Just would need to know the sizes to try and where to get them

Looks like 18mm x 2mm. I would suggest more firm than soft.
