Okay, so, I really want to dibs one of these cyclones.... but I still cant find any pictures of the AFC holes, I'm not even sure if the AFC cap can be pulled apart into two pieces, because there arn't any/many pics online...

also does anyone ever feel the need to drill out the posts holes for larger gauged wire?

so tempting but can't afford a $100 atty I don't like... also I saw that that you were in contact with VA? is a new cyclone going to be coming out with a cupped deck, AND 3 POSTS??

My cloud chaser tip is actually too small for the standard cyclone top. It needs that o ring otherwise it'd fall out real easy. Might just be my top and haven't tried it on my afc cyclone since my last build I centered the coils (since I drilled the small top cap directly across from each other)

Go take a look at the CLT or the stillare. The AFC control on the cyclone is essentially the same as those two:

You have the main barrel/sleeve that you always line up the air slots according to the coils.

Then you have the top cap section which itself has a sleeve section. Pop this top cap on, and twist the top cap to adjust the air flow.

Also the post holes are pretty tiny. I would say dual 28ga is the max. But they do fit. In any case, the deck is super duper tiny, so I doubt you'll wanna use a much fatter wire.

2014 is out.... No cupped deck, no tri-post, non-adjustable 510 (unless you use a hammer) add Phillips screws. The 2013 is far superior. I'm not sure what VA was thinking with the update. I can't believe I still have 4 Cyclone/AFC's three days after drilling. It used to be hours not days. And those were rough conversions these are perfect....

And yes I have drilled out the coil holes previously which I will do but that's and extra $10. I have to drill by hand in steps #53 is as big as they will go without fear of ripping the top of the post off. #53 is 1.51mm and supposedly big enough for Magic Mundy wire...

If you don't like it you can sell it on the Classifieds for as much as you paid for it or often times more. I charge what I have too, not what I can get away with. I hate gougers. I'm sure indy vapes hates me....

Tom,

First thanks for the modifications, your work is excellent.

I got the DX back, cleaned it up and threw a dual 1 ohm into it and holy ..... what an excellent topper for the LP. The flow and return is perfect although squonking it easier then some of the others I have so I have to be careful. It's a great vape and it may have unseated the RM4.
