Haw haw. Got my veritas in the mail but I'm at work. I'm stupid excited to try it out; hopefully my epoxy doesn't come off.

Question: IF the epoxy does come off, what's a good fix for it? I don't care for looks, so as long as it's functional im okay with it

Exactly... And it has clear epoxy in the hole and was protected by the o-ring. Yes they all do. That is the only way to drill them, I had planned to use 2mm set screws and food grade thread locker but it looked horrible. I would sugest putting the o ring back and enjoy it, they were tough to bottom feed. But I have been using one since Saturday with great success.
I don't have it to see the thickness of the wall and I'm not a pro like yourself..... but couldn't you thread a grub screw in the hole and grind it off flush inside the well?

I would need an angle grinder with a 1/4 inch wheel. I do have m2 x 2mm grubs coming that might work. I tried m2x4mm and they were very long.

And with a 3.5mm air hole...? Oh yes... You can most certainly chuck the clouds. Wowee. Officially my favorite bf atty hands down

There is just no way for this guy to ever leak. NO way. Unless you're deliberately trying to make it.

The only cons I can think of...

1) pain in the .... to build
2) the .... ugly stock drip tip that came with it hahaha

So why did you put a horizontal coil in it? Thought one of the design features was to run vertical coils in it? Just curious...

Haha it's too much of a pain for me to build dual. Running it at 0.9 using 26 gauge.

The other thing is, the way the veritas is built, you're always always gonna have longer than usual leads which inevitably bumps up your resistance. That's kinda a con I guess.

But man. I frigging love this atty.

The other awesome thing I love, but probably not intended by Tom is this

The drain hole is actually quite a bit higher off the base than Tom usually does.

BUT. This atty is so incredibly leak proof it doesn't matter. IN FACT, with the left over juice, I find myself squonking once every 10 to 15 drags.

Haha in fact, I've returned my clt to my copper REO, and im just vaping the veritas on my IPV 100W. Still going on and on.

Did I mention I frigging love the veritas? Oh yes. Yes I do

I've been reading the hell outta the veritas threads, and an overwhelming majority seem to enjoy it as a single coil, so that's what I started off with. I'm not sure if I wanna try the dual vertical since it's pretty annoying to build. But yeah. Single coil even at 0.9 ohms? This guy is awesome

Agreed I would rather they charged 25cents less and kept the drip tip. I have a pile of 20 gauge maybe I will try single coil. Dual coil is challenging with all the best tools I couldn't imagine doing it with the basics. This was the toughest atty I have done yet. Please please please do yourself a favor and don't take it apart until you absolutely have to. The black o-ring that acts as a juice bulkhead will try your patience although with some juice as a lube it might not be as bad. I didn't take that luxury. I figured you guys might appreciate your atty not smelling like Cuttwood monster melons.

By the way I still have a few Veritas left ready to go.

Sorry about the high hole on that one... Most of them are low but I don't have a lot of control of the bit when drilling the second hole through the first hole.

Haha yeaaaa im def not gonna mess with this guy. It's just awesome.

If anyone was sitting on the fence. Well. Grab the veritas. If there's one atty to recommend from catfish... Well this is it. I'm grabbing a mephisto but yeah.... I can't imagine it beating the veritas.

Lol sorry? i LOVE that it's that height. It's awesome. Hell if I buy another veritas (likely...), I would hope you can give me one with holes like that.

Tom, my Doge is on its way to you and according to the receipt you should have it on Friday. The SS pin is in the package that the atty is in also. I put a note in there, but thought I would let you know here... The lady at the post office checked on my tracking for the Mephisto and SS Odin and now it shows a Thursday delivery. Unbelievable that it takes a week to get something from Maryland to Chicago. Our mail system is all jacked up....

That is insane! Especially since it's going to the boondocks that is Chicago.... Oh wait a minute Chicago is what? The third or fourth largest city in the US? Honestly to ship faster than I do would require a crystal ball. I hate having your money and your atty(s). It's like hot potato with me. I can't sleep if I have things to ship. I feel your pain! I treat people a certain way an assume they will reciprocate but rarely do. The post office rarely impresses me.

Now DHL amazes me every time. Hong Kong to Dc in 24hrs everytime. Manilla to DC 24hrs! I swear I look at the DHL delivery guy like "I know you were speeding... "

Got my two veritas today. Thanks man!

I'm washing them now and then I'll settle down to try and build them.

I have 28, 26, 24, and 22ga on hand if anyone has any build suggestions. I'm going to shoot for 0.3ohms that's my usual sweet spot on most attys.

If I can get this thing to wick with vertical 3mm readyxwick I'll be in heaven.

Are you interested in the Pda? I think BobC posted a few pics of his. As far as I am aware he has the only one in the US. I could do a run of them...

I do still have a few Divos as well. I just don't get a lot of requests for the little ones. I can get Cyclones, Divos, PDAs, and Hornets. I'm not aware of much else other than the Chalice; and that's not going to happen. I swear an infinite Chalice would sell like crazy. Maybe I will speak with my guy at Infinite to that regard.

Corrected?

The CH modded PDA rocks, it's as good as a Cyclone, same concave base, but the pins are more centered then the Cyclone for more wicking options, you can easily dual coil this baby with the pin setup

I'm running dual 26, 5 wraps with a 2.5 mandrel with KGD cotton. I tried a 1.8mm mandrel first but it was way to harsh. The fat, low res coil is king in the Veritas. My resistance should be in line with yours although I never measure. I have been using the Veritas nearly exclusively since Saturday and I'm averaging 4 vtc5s and 9ml a day. The intensity is incredible
