Ok, need help with the Manta. This is twisted 30g @ .55 ohms. I've tried larger id coils but then I lose the flavor. I've raised & lowered the coils, moved them closer to the posts... I'm getting ok flavor but very anemic vapor. I have only 1/2 of one hole open on each side and I position that hole right in front of the coils. Any suggestions?

That to me sounds an ideal build, coil and setup in a way exactly as I would, with my manta due to arrive any day I will be interested to hear this one. Just wondering have you tried 28 or 26 gauge?

My first build was twisted 29g @ .4 ohms, but it was a little hot. I haven't tried non-twisted wire just because I get better flavor with twisted. I may try, though, if I can't get this build worked out. Just figured I'm missing something about positioning the coils somehow...
edit: I have also checked to make sure everything is tightened down

Have you tried removing atty and drying bottom pin and squonk hole of juice before refitting, I had similar before where atty wasn't fully tightened down and just had effected contact. To me coils look and sound good, it should be buzzing

I got my Rem and Bonsai this afternoon. I coiled up the Rem, twisted 26g, 5wraps, 2.5mm, dual coil netting .2 ohms. Really wasn't bad at all. The stock screws are working just fine. Airflow and flavor are excellent! So far, so good. I'll get to the bonsai tomorrow.

I've never done pics with this new software. Hopefully they come out. The quality isn't the greatest as all I have to use is my cellphone.

    Re Manta
Take a look inside the cap. Air comes up through the sides, and then up.
May want to try moving the coils out toward the deck edge, toward the air slots in the side of the cap.
For coil elevation, take some measurements off the cap/deck. I put mine at or just above the air slots.

I'll give it a try. This was my first go-round with this atty, anxious to try it out. I will play with the build a bit tomorrow. I actually want to up the ohms closer to .3. All I know now is that it can be done and it really wasn't so hard to do. This twisted 26 is a little harder to deal with, I prefer my 3x30 or 3x29. I just had some 26 twisted up for the Hellboy, so that's what I used. I'll coil up some more in the morning and give this Remmy a proper rebuild as well as build my bonsai.

Tried, and same... I mean, the way this thing is built, I just know it is capable of the warmest, densest vape. The flavor is there, but I'm get more vapor from the Chalice. I'm gonna keep trying...

Oops, this info was directed at Henry Etta and the Manta.

@supersport not yet, haven't given up yet

@pwheeler my issue with twisted, as much as I love the flavor, is spitback - you having spitback issues with that build in the REM? The Derringer + Brads Cap + Twisted is a lethal combo but if it rocks in the REM I may try twisted 26...

I get a little bit of spitback and that could be that I'm a little closer to the posts than to the side wall. But I'm using twisted in my Derringer with a Brad cap on it and definitely get the spitting! I'll stay with twisted, but I might drop it down to twisted 28 or 3x29. Twisted 26 works well, it's just a really stout coil!
