Well got my Ce2 510 carts in today, they come in on the scale at 2.3 ohms, and put out a very atomizer tasting vape not cartomizer like. pain in the ... to fill/not sure about life span. Ne hoo not for me if anyone in this neck of the wood wants to buy them then send me a pm got 14 left, much rather deal locally than have to ship em to the states...15$ or trade for juice...555, good ry4 or dk tab.

I may be interested... haven't read much about them so if you have some threads you can direct me to that would be great. I just glanced through a thread earlier today that was talking about these new cartomizers.. I'm assuming it's the CE2's that you have? are these the ones that don't have the polyfill in them? heard they give similar results as dripping?

How many drops can you put in? or do you have to use a syringe?

I used 1 ml and put it in with syringe yes, they are very similar to dripping, but i have noticed they don't wick great. I can puff for a couple min and it taste great, then it gos burnt, and i have to wait for the wick to catch up.flavor and vapor is the best i have ever got from a carto.

how long did you find you had to wait for the wick to catch up before you got that same taste like from the initial fill?

yup not a fan as the original e2's give a nasty chemical taste

I have the original 2 hole and the 7 hole revision ones and can soooo appreciate what you are saying.

I do have mine working right now but it involved washing/soaking in hot water, dry burn and rewash/dry burn, replacing the inner cap with a silicon o-ring and "fluffing" the wick with a needle.

I have some replacements that will be shipped with the modifications and ceramic cup though so we will see, and have been assured by the manufacturer that only the ceramic cup version will be shipped from here on out . I am waiting on the reviews once some people receive them before placing that order.

On that note, do I like them better than 510 cartomizers with the filler? Yes
Do I use them over my Joye 510 atomizers and cartridges? yes
Do I like them better that dripping? Yes
Are they long lasting? yes, 3ml per day alternating 2 cartomizers over 8 days on my eGo, 3 cleaning/dryburn cycles(4 if you include the initial cleaning) and still working like new. The manufacture recommended 4 refills then using a new one.
Overall I find there is less fiddling to get them to work right than atomizers/cartridges and best of all no primer puff required.

I have tried to get the wife to convert to vaping for over a year with little success but she is liking the CE2 cartomizers over the atomizer/cartridge and the Boge cartomizers we tried.
Wifes review was that these cartomizers were the closest to actually smoking that she has tried yet. I take this as a positive since she has been resistant to giving up smoking but is using these and cutting back on her cigarettes.

This is just my :2c:, I am in no way affiliated with the manufacturer, am not a reseller of their product and do not receive compensation of any kind.
I encountered problems like others with this new product and used the recommendations of others to troubleshoot the ones I have to work and am very hopeful that the newest version being shipped gives the working out of the box solution we(the consumer) want.

All the best, Happy Vaping,
Wing.

Thanks for the review Wing... if you have the original version of the E2's Teabagger then I think I'll pass on them :(

I don't want to go through all that trouble like Wing did... although I guess there's no guarantee that the new versions will be problem free either... 2 vs 7 hole version? didn't know there was a 7.

I'm really hoping these work better.. I'm super frustrated with the standard 510 carts and the Mega atty/cart seems to only work well when brand new

Fit,

I do hope you find your nirvana as vaping is and can be fabulous. What you are experiencing is totally normal. They are not designed to last forever, although we want them to.
  • attys = 2 -3 weeks
  • filler = 2-3 refills
  • cartos = 1-2 refills (as a matter of fact, they are designed to be filled once and tossed)
Now, we have found ways to extend the life cycle of these items, but the aforementioned facts are what you should expect and the remainder is just gravy. Using them passed their intended life cycle will provide a less than optimujm vape.

I have a Stawberry Menthol SLB 510 carto that is 3 weeks old. It has probably seen at least 10-15 refils, it is also on its last legs. I will be vaping that one dry today on the way to my other sister, and will place it in the clean pile. Once I get home and clean it, I may eventually just toss it, as they do not rebound to 100% and performance diminishes exponentially with each use/clean cycle.

Many do not want to hear this (myself included) but it is the cold hard truth. :( and that is why we have the 3rd generation mods out there. (bottom feeders and AVS)

this is probably a dumb question, but in reading wings post he mentions "dry burn" as part of the cleaning. does this mean just hold the button down till no more smoke comes out? i purchased the e2 royalsmokers because it was recommenced with the wetbox. there was an immediate chemical taste. i followed the instructions before using. just trying to salvage these and experiencing what some have. thanks!

Yes, dry burn is basically heating the element until it gives off no more vapor and gets bright red inside. This is a VERY easy way to pop your atomizer if you just hold it and give'r though. I'd suggest checking out some videos on youtube and try it on an atty you won't care if you pop first.
Quick question?

How does a burnt wick occur? = giving off a burnt taste.

Check the threads out wrt the E2 anatomy and you will soon find out that doing a dry burn is highly not recommended.

Cool!

I no longer do maintenance on my attys, outside of washing them out for a flavour change when testing.

Unless your wick is burnt = burnt taste, caused by running an atty too dry. Doing a dry burn will burn the wick = burnt taste, defeating the purpose of dry burning them.

Dry burning = last ditch effort to prolong the life of a fouled atty, and will usually result in an extra week or two at best. it is definitely not recommended as a maintenance routine.

When one of my attys starts to foul, I simply use it at 5-6V, where I will get an extra week or two out of it. No harm no foul here, it was on its way out any way. Most of my attys last me 3-4 months, some longer. So its no biggie for me. They are considered semi-disposable with an expected life span of 2 weeks.

My strawberry menthol carto I had at the meet went poof yesterday. That lasted 5 weeks and a couple of days. It was never washed and probably seen at least 20 refils. Not bad considering they are only intended to be filled once:)

$1.50 / 35 days = $0.04 per day + $1.14/day in liquid = $1.18/day versus $9.00. the way I figure it, it pays for the beers I drank in TO, my hotel room, the gas to TO from Mtl and then some :D

Hi all,
I received my CE-2 cartomizers 08-06-2010 and they were the early versions that needed tweeking.
The 1st one I set up and use daily is still going strong(YMMV) with just a washing out and dry burn every other day and the wick is intact, all I am doing is burning off the gunk left behind by the liquid during vaporization.
When I dry burn I will let the coil get red for around 2 sec, let it cool down and repeat till the gunk is gone and the wick goes almost white again.
Then I rewash out the carto to get out the burnt off gunk and dry burn again till the coil goes red.
As a note I go through an average of 2ml a day of my tobacco flavor which is 40%PG/60%VG.
Badkolo has done some excellent videos on this, here is a link.

All the best, Happy Vaping,
