Can someone read my post on the last page (#1300) which i edited because of a issue and let me know if there is anything else i could try to get some flavor ? Thankie

How long have you been vaping for? Because it's not at all unusual for folks to go through one or more periods where they can't taste their juices. It seems as though it happens most often (and frequently for more than just one bout) not long after switching from analogs, but for some it can even happen two or three months later, either for the first time or in a recurrence of the earlier experience. It's all a part of the healing process. For me it happened in the first couple of weeks and lasted maybe a week or so. It passes.

tried my 2.6-2.8s...pulled out both seals (regs so only 2 to pull out) on my 3.7 SB.... being a total noob with coils i over did my precautionary burn and so i just did the seals and filled and waited for the second one. vapes like a champ. but i think a combo of a light juice (pineapple orange banana) and too hot of a vape makes this ohm not for me. any further suggestions for ohms?

My RAWR juices taste really good at 5+ volts with the fluxomizers... my AVE juices need to stay in the 4 to 4.5 range or they burn so it's totally dependent on the juice.

ames001: the fluxomizers are a top coil design so pretty much all the juice you vape in one will come out warm. If it is too warm at 3.7 volts, I would try a different juice first. You could also order some fluxomizers in a higher ohm range.

I just recieved some clear and easy tanks from cigeasy.com, put some liquid in them, i got a litte juice in the center tube dont know if this is supposed to happen or not, i have 808 v2 battery on it, when i hit it i cant really taste any flavor and the first hit i took it nearly made me choke. is this normal for these tanks or did i ruin it by getting juice in the center tube? im gonna keep vaping it to see if it gets better maybe it just needs to be broke in, anyone have any suggestions for this issue?

WOW! Just spent 2 days going through this thread. I am excited and bummed at the same time.

Me: Began vaping in June. Went 3 months without analogs on a V4L manual battery and cartos. Love my V4L. Hate refilling cartos. Began having trouble refilling to last (went from getting hours from one to about 30 min. - yes, I throw away when they won't refill anymore, I just seemed to have lost the refill touch) and have been using analogs again!!! Found this thread. Interested in new CE2. I think I need to order the KR808 at 2.6-2.8 ohm.

Questions: Will they fit my V4L? When will they be back in stock?

I would be willing to try another slim auto battery that will work with these.

Any help would be really appreciated. Since I'm back on analogs part-time, I am coughing and having trouble breathing. Doing better today (only 3 so far), but hate myself for my weak will.

Don't kick yourself. There are VERY few people who have tried to get off analogs who haven't fallen off and gone back to them. Analogs are a hard thing to stop using.

Hey Shateo,

Good luck with kicking the cigs; you can do it I'm sure. For what it's worth, whenever I find myself wanting a cigarette I realize that I'm dehydrated so you might consider giving drinking copious amounts of water a try. I find that my body likes at least a gallon of water a day. We loose moisture while breathing and just through general metabolism while we sleep so give drinking at least a litre of water after you wake up a try to curb those morning cigarettes. As humans most of us start to get irritated from not having enough water before we actually feel thirsty and as smokers we've associated getting irritated with the frustration of wanting a cigarette.

I might suggest 2.8-3.0 ohm Fluxos to try first if you haven't. At least at 3.7 Volts they are a tad hotter than I prefer at 2.6-2.8 ohms. IMO the 2.6-2.8 ohm Fluxos are at least as if not more hot on the juice than 2.0ohm traditional-style cartomizers

dont hate yourself for it; i relapsed for almost a full 5 months after a terrible break up, smoking twice as much as before!

been back since mid january and was on the same system as before. But i started to feel bad having to get whoever was in the car with me to drip my atty... and without someone in the car with me i couldn't leave my town.

So i asked for a Silver Bullet for my birthday, started looking into cartos that were fillerless and arrived here. after doing my research i bought a vision deux and a pack of ce2 2.6-2.8s in the only size they had left, small. i had a bit of trouble with them last night (my first night using them) scorced clearo 1s wick, then moved on to clearo #2. filled, let it sit for 10, dripped, let it sit for a few and then stuck it on. last night tasted too warm, way too warm like i was vaporizing the liquid at too high a temp. but after i refilled this morning, its much better flavorwise. I think you'll like these, if you can be patient enough to wait 20-30 minutes after filling before use :p

but i noticed something just now. i refilled again (these things really do like their juice) and saw tons of gunk on the coil. Ignored it, as it was still vaping great, but then i saw this. is this normal?

When the coil snap crackles and pops, it sends that 'gunk' flying into your mouthpiece!

If you were using the stock cup seal (or just flipping the donut, like I do) you wouldn't be inhaling it (as much)

It might be time for a dry burn bro!

I'm assuming you don't get that problem with the Vision?

Sorry ames001, what are we looking at? The spots in your DT?

Agree with Monarch that gunk is crude build up from the coil, poping up when heated.

Okay, so walk me through this mentally... The dry-burn, it seems counter-intuituve, especially coming from cartos where the last thing you want is burnt filler. Once I get over that mental hurdle, it's just the 4sec, 5sec, 4sec, 5sec, cycle right? Should I let them soak in isopropyl (I don't like grain alcohol) for a bit before hand or maybe a boling water cycle?

I want to figure this out as I have several fluxos that have the slag ball on the coil, and I'd like to get more life out of them than the 2-3 days that I got. Don't get me wrong, I'm okay with 3, but I know they have more days in them.

Thanks in advance!

OK, so sell me me this: I've got 2 weeks until I can get the KR808 Flux CE2 deluxe whatever cartos. I am going to order a pack of those and hope they fit my V4L manual batt. I will also get a slim manual 808 batt from GotVapes if you can tell me which one that is. And will it fit on my V4L charger or do I need another one?

Willing to buy but still trying to keep costs down and liking my slim batt

Think of it this way: Dry burning is just doing the same thing self-cleaning ovens do: Burn hot enough to turn all the built-up gunk to ash. Since there's no liquid present to absorb and distribute the heat, and little in the way of convection currents to remove the heated air from around the coil (unless you've got a fan blowing on you or something), it gets good and hot enough to bake the crap off. I don't even soak anymore unless I've been using a juice that hangs around and needs to be out-powered by something stronger to get the taste out of it, then I'll soak in vinegar or iso, rinse well and then dry burn whatever's left off.

Perfect reference, thx.

Going to give it a try once I get home and will report back, thanks again Mindfield!

No problem! And don't worry about burning the wick. It's glass fiber. It can take the heat. Dry burning actually returns it to a nice clean white. :) Just pulse 5 seconds on, 5-10 seconds off, until the coil looks like a coil again and the wick is white and little to no vapor/smoke is coming off. (There may be singing beyond the ends of the coil where its heat is enough to bake but not enough to reduce to ash, but that's normal.) I usually go through a good dozen to dozen and a half cycles like that.

Sorry, I meant to reply to your previous post but I got distracted. The 808 CE2 Deluxes should work fine on your V4L 808 batteries. I've used them for awhile, but since all my 808 batteries are getting a bit long in the tooth, I mostly use the 510 versions on an Ego battery.

I also like the "slim" style batteries, so when I get around to replacing my 808 batteries I'll likely go with the "Gen 2" 808s like the Volt.

You might consider an alcohol bath if the the gunk is thick, to help loosen it. To much dry burn could pop the coil... Done that a few times...

I've got into the habit of dry burning BEFORE it seems to need it, the burn goes easier and there is less gunk to clean. I rinse in water first. If it's really bad try lightly scraping the gunk off (after a few burns). I use the tip of a paper clip. BE GENTLE, if you pull a coil it will pop sooner than later.

Good luck.
