This is just my suggestion.... I would not but a "CE2" tank. You can buy a regular Map tank and cut the CE2 to fit in it. That way if you ever want to use Boges or other cartos you can.

The way I do it is I cut the bottom of the CE2 with a pipe cutter. Then the top maybe quarter inch with a Dremel steel cutting wheel. The reason I use the Dremel on the top part is because it makes it easier to put the drip tip in because if you use the pipe cutter on the top it leaves a curve on the tube which make it much harder to put a drip tip on.

@mike n I thought about cutting them like that but I just decided to just pull the tube off the CE2 because it's easy to do so and slot them at the top and bottom with my rotary cutoff wheel, clean them and "press" them back on.

@OP below is a 2.4ohm XL Stainless Steel CE2 that I slotted in a Smok tank from MVS..you can buy them in colored with chrome caps for $8.55 each or clear/smoke black for $4.65 each they come in 3.5ML or 6ml..I bought 8 of these of both styles..4-3.5ml and 4-6ml. 1 of each size of the blue,red/orange,smoke black and clear..I'm very happy with them..just wish they had the purple tubes but no biggie for that price :)

ChrispyCritter, I have done that and it works great but I like seeing the internals. That is the only reason I do it my way.

But I have 2 questions... why do you pull it apart to slot it? Why not just slot it when it is together. Also why do you slot it at the top? Is it better for liquid flow?

Mike

You need 2 slots in a CE2 because it doesn't work on a vacuum like the poly-fill cartos do..the closer to the top of the inside you get it the more you can fill the tank also. I pull it apart to slot it so I don't get metal and cutoff wheel dust in my cartomizer and I wash the tubes before putting them back on..the tubes come off really easy and it's easy to put back together. BTW they don't need to be slots a small hole at the top and bottom would most likely work just fine.

I plan on trying to grind 2 long slots in both sides on one sometime so I can see the insides..but I fear the tube will bend or break if I do that. I know the way you do it works well but..what worries me is I'll accidentally grab it by the top or hold it in my mouth it will slide out and the tank/battery will fall on the floor spilling most of the juice breaking things.
