This is similar to what we've been making on the CE2 thread. It started w/ juice bottle mods then to syringe mods. One guy did make a self juicing mod from a pen.

Most have been using juice bottles or syringe tubes. They hit like a champ and give the wicks more room. I attached a picture of my syringe mod.

Hey Turbo, Got ya, Credit goes to you.
That thread is over 2000 posts.
Forgive me for missing it :)
I think the biggest advantage is the ability to see if the wick is wet, and tilt it "just enough".
Sort of like a Tilto-Drip mod :)

Tilto-Drip with a Fuzzy Wick

No problem, seems like you thought of it independently yourself. First credit for us over there goes to 'br' who started the craze. He pioneered the bottle mod. Then a couple others made the syringe mod.

I'm having trouble sealing the base on mine. When I cut the metal tube off the carto I left 3/8" on the base. It crimped a little and lets some juice leak through the base. I'll cut another one soon. It does give a strong hit.

Here's my second syringe mod, I left the numbers on it...lol

This one is also from a 3ml syringe but the fit is tighter and no leaks. I do get condensation build up but did leave extra room on the top.

I notice one of yours has little/no extra room on top. How are you doing w/ condensation build up on yours? Do you notice a difference in performance on the ones w/ more/less room on top?

None that I can notice. Condenses if there is room, doesn't if there ain't, or drains back, don't know.
My last few have the 801 cigar tip and it's dark in there :)
I ream the pen part so it's a tight fit and (super glue it in place)/
No leaks at the bottom.

and I still accidentally look UP while vaping and get a little juice. Oh well.
Took a screw apart one apart to clean. That's a nice feature.
When it dies I may not be able to salvage the glued on part though, will have to wait.

Yeah, I'm going to make one w/ less room on the top. The condensation pools up and can juice ya when it does. I did put the secondary ring in to catch some of it. Works great though.

On the glue; I was going to glue my first one w/ the bigger syringe but I wanted to be able to service/clean it by pulling the syringe off. The newer syringes I got are a good tight fit. They say 'monoject' on the side.

What brand/style of pen's are you using?

the thing I wanna know is how you are getting the outer barrel off without tearing the rest of the carto up on the 510? Looks like you just pull it off in the direction of the mouth piece, but what are you putting on the connector thread in order to hold it and any tips to making this easier as it looks like it is pressed on there pretty good.

I think the fraying is an improvement. Trying a couple now without it, will probably do it to them also.
I take a small needle file and cut into the shell right at the edge of the connector. Continue around a little and tear the strip of metal of with pliers. Almost falls out then.
Find a pen and give it a try. Imagination :)

And are you using any sort of compound around the fitting, or is the pressure from the pen enough? Also how sturdy is this? Or is there any fear of the tube falling off and spilling liquid all over. I love this mod, I think it's the only real pet peeve I have with the CE2's, you don't know that you are out of liquid for sure unless you disassemble or play the waiting game.... "AM I vaping too soon and not allowing time to wick or am I out, well I'll wait a few minutes and see if it gets better". with this it just takes a glimpse and you know.

Speaking for myself w/ my syringe mods, I use nothing to seal it w/ the newer Kendall 'monoject' 3ml syringe; it's a tight fit. The first syringe I tried was a little loose but not these.

I'll let 'rocket' chime in about his pen mods.

I'm sure the manufacture has seen our mods on the CE2 thread anyhow. They've been known to peruse it.
