i know what you mean, however i still would like to know how you get 8.4 ohm's out of a 2.8 carto?
what does the manufacters do to change the ohm's on one of these things? like change the size of the wire, or maybe the length of the wire? inquiring minds want too know?
Easy, cold solder joint somewhere in the manufacturing process, assembly is most likely. Too many coils or length of the coil wire might be possible but less likely. Or it could be a defect in the coil wire itself, the resistance depends on the diameter of the wire, and thousands of an inch difference can make the resistance very different.
