CE2s: Could likening/disliking them be partly due to the position you are holding it during vaping?

Newb here with just a thought, albeit insecure but not insecure enough to look foolish :)

Since people might get set in their ways on holding their vape, and since CE2s heat on top, could some of the like/dislike for them be because some people hold their vape more vertically and others hold them horizontally when vaping. I was not getting good results with my Stardusts and started holding them horizontally with the bottom end a slight bit up and they improved drastically. I guess the wicks just do their job so much better if juice is saturated right near the heating element. I noticed on a few of the bad or good reviews on youtube their positioning vaping matched this theory. But it was only a quick noted observation.

Just don't see positioning mentioned much, but should this be how you should vape a CE2?

Gravity definitely works against the wicking of a CE2 and for some I'm sure it's a big negative. I use them in tanks mostly and I do tilt my pv to get juice up by the atty, but I don't necessarily lift my pv up past horizontal while vaping. There is a few factors that come into play concerning how well they wick, and after some experience it becomes sort of second nature on how to deal with them at any given circumstance for the best vape. To answer your question, holding the pv past horizontal would allow the juice to replenish itself to the atty right away after the vape is finished, I'm sure that would make the difference to some vapors.

not sure why there's so much ce2 hate to be honest.... i think they taste cleaner than atomizers (just my opinion)

it does take some fiddling (but not that much).. i just remove the 2 top plugs, fluff the wicks (whatever i can reach without pulling it out), dry burn and they're good to go.. and i'm using 100% VG too. i do vape at a slant though.. but it's a great vape every time

Although I like the flavor, I observe a No Tipping policy so as to avoid frustration. I'm going to have to give bottom coils a try at some point though. I don't like my carto dictating how I hold my device.

i duno how all of you vape.. maybe im in the minority, but when i vape, my pv becomes almost horizontal... so i guess i wet the wicks naturally /shrug

I tried to get myself back to the resurrectors this week, and even a dct tank, but I have now come to the realization that I do like clearomizers that much better. Not having to deal with polyfill, very minimal gurgling if any, being able to see the liquid levels, easy cleaning and even the taste is purer. I did bump my juices to double extra flavor, which combats the little amount of muted flavor there is. I also think that clearos have a break in period. Once I got through a few ml of liquid and cleaned my fluxos one time, they are now my favorite. Planning on ordering some CE3 plus/phoenix and an ego vision this week to test them out as well. Clearos for me all the way!
