Hi all,

2012-07-14 02.30.58.jpg

Using this new CE3 and am very happy with it. No leakage, nice TH, vapor n man.. the flavor i get is out of this world..!! It feels like i'm dripping the liquid right on my tongue. Very rich flavor..

For cleaning, i take it apart, (like the pic above), clean and do dry burn.

But i've watch a video of someone totally dismantle it, even removing the coil and wick. And i can't find it anywhere. Anyone find out a good video of it?

I love this CE3, and hoping to recoil n rewick it (or at least clean the coil n wick completely like new again)..

Any help appreciated.. TQ

I haven't seen any vid, but I have rewicked a few.
You have to solder non resistance wire to the coil wire or the wire will get hot and melt through the rubber bottom seal and will cause a short eventually.
Remove the metal bottom pin located in the center, it will pop out; then remove the rubber seal and push the ceramic cup w/ coil out through the top.
I then took a small needle and stuck it through some wicking material and wrapped my new coil wire around then removed the needle.
You need to make the coil wraps small and tight or they will short out on the sides of the metal base.

After trying a few, it was a lot easier to buy new given the price of a pack.

Edit: To remove the coil from the ceramic cup, I held the cup with pliers and used a flame to melt the adhesive material which holds the coil in place on the bottom of the cup. The coil will pull out easily, but use caution as the cup will be hot. Place it on something metal to cool.
I'm inpatient, so to the sink it went.

Hope this helps

Yes it can be completely disassembled, but the coil wire itself has a small piece of non conductive wire soldered at each end so it doesn't heat up and melt through the rubber seal and cause a short.
The coil is glued at the bottom of the ceramic cup to prevent it from being pushed out when it is assembled.

Yeah, for the price, it's much easier to clean and just buy new when they fry.
Good luck

I did a few just to try, but you are right about being a hassle and with the price being $1.80 each I'd rather buy new.
Now the wife is another matter, she would rather buy new vs. cleaning.....to each their own, but for now, I do all the cleaning :(
That tut. doesn't mention the adhesive holding the coil in place on the bottom side of the ceramic cup.
Mine are all Betterlife and I have been using them since 4/1 and all have had some sort of adhesive.
