What am I doing wrong? I filled them exactly as shown on card and in the video. They work perfect untill I vape them down to half full, then they start leaking. I did clean them before use as shown in the vid, and blew through them (as shown in the vid). Then saw on the item description page that it saws to not blow through them. Could this be the cause? Didn't seem likely though since they work great untill half full... Also, one of the 3 I've tried had the batt post issue. I pried it down a little. Thought I might have cracked it. The other 2 did not have the batt post problem, but also leak when they get down to being half full. Hating this! These are a great idea and I can really tell the difference in vapor production and taste. But I'm not gonna use them if they're gonna keep leaking. Don't wanna ruin my batts or get my pcc all sticky...

Hey HOPS. I'm a noob and inherited a pack of them from a friend who hated them for the same reason. I've used them with good luck. The only thing I can say is that I used them straight out of the package with no cleaning or blowing or anything. It's been a week and they are still going strong. Let me know if you get any resolution. Sorry for your frustration. :(

I don't take mine apart to clean them. I slowly inject water in them - the CE3 upside down, draw back into syringe, push back in - a few times. I've done this before any filling, or to clean and change flavors. I've re-used three with no problem. A fourth I was too vigorous with when cleaning and it made cracking noises when I vaped so I tossed it. If you take them apart you may disrupt the pressure and not get it right again.

I’ve been using CE3’s exclusively for the last 2 months and have had no problems with them.

The only thing that will cause the leaking is a loss of pressure.
1) Fill upside down
2) Fill it up completely. I fill to the bottom of the wicks just leaving a very small bubble of air
3) If you take it apart, make sure you put the top seal in correctly and right side up
4) Check the outer tube for any cracks
5) One of the most critical parts is poking through the fill hole the first time. If you destroyed its ability to reseal…it will leak.

The only times I’ve had leaking like you indicate is when I butchered the fill hole preventing a good seal and one that had fine stress cracks around where the base is inserted into the tube. All the other ones have worked great for about a month of daily refills with complete disassemblies for weekly cleanings.

Hi,
Most of my CE3's have the stress cracks around the base right out of the box. Have you found a way to repair them? Tried both crazy glue and clear nail polish as suggested on other threads and neither work for long.
Have also looked for replacement tubes but came up empty.
I've just been using the clear nail polish (and getting really funny looks when I went to buy it lmao), and so far so good :nun: Also, when I first had problems, I took a couple completely apart and cleaned them (like in Mr Outlaws vid) then left them apart to air dry for like 3 days. That seemed to help too...

No, the old syringe fill ones. The new ones are "nano's"...

I've been following this thread, hoping my question would get answered, but I haven't seen an answer yet. So...I also watched mr. Outlaw on youtube and i really like the idea/functionality of the clearomizer, the one with the metal tube in the center, but i have read that these "plastic" clearos shouldn't be used with certain flavors, for instance, cinnamon (my favorite!), as they will deteriorate the clear plastic, and cause cracking and leaking. So, does anyone know of a ceramic or metal carto with the same inner-workings of the clearo? I like the idea of ones that need to be filled with a syringe- that makes me think they're less likely to leak.

It's a particular type of plastic that is prone to leeching and cracking. From my understanding none of SI's current (or soon to be released) products use that type of plastic anymore. If you contact their customer service (or hit up the "Ask Imagine" thread) I'm sure they can give you a more accurate answer. I can say I have been using a highly citric juice in a single CE3 for over a month now with no problems. Mr Outlaw has a vid ( http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ufVjrDRLHkM ) on the newer X2 clearos where he put an ungodly concoction of juices in an old X2 and a new one. The new one passed with flying colors. (Keep in mind that the "new" X2's are actually old now, SI is releasing new versions soon). I will say that I put a citrus juice in a Nano and it cracked. Don't know if that was just bad luck or what...

Many of the early version clearomizers were made using polycarbonate plastic.
Polycarbonate is more susceptible to leaching and cracking. The better clearomizers
use polypropylene and are less susceptible to problems. Some cinnamon flavors may
still cause your tanks to fog up. There are metal replacements tank for the Vivi Nova.

You can buy the Phoenix Bottom Coil Clearomizers for 808 or 510 threads. They hold circa 1 ml of e-liquid; since they were remodeled/improved (per GotVapes.com). Previously, they held 1.3 ml e-liquid. Anyway, they are MY favorite clearomizer for single coil vapor quality! They are only available at: GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more. I frequently use them out in public. I keep my tanks assortment at home. :vapor: I am a single coil person anyway. lol. I do prefer bottom coils to top coils.

The new rebuildable CE4s (Vision,Stardust, Redux, Etc) are much better than the older models. If you are a cinnamon "junkie", from everything I have read; you really should use a metal cartomizer and/or metal tank with cinnamon. GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more and www.smoketek.com both carry the Viva-Nova tanks in metal now.

Happy Vaping! :vapor:
