Center pin leak

I've been having some leaking in my new TRA LP Grand and didn't know where it was coming from until this morning. I took the screw out of the black plastic cover, slid the cover down the feed tube for the bottle and the inside of the plastic cover was full of juice. My tube looks intact, no tears or holes that I can see anywhere up in there. I searched the forum for threads pertaining to this issue but all my results came back as zero, must be the search words I was using.

The center pin gasket is present and looks pristine. Is there something I can do myself to fix this or is this a spa issue? I'd rather fix this myself if possible.

Maybe I should just go ahead and replace the feed tube. Probably wouldn't hurt to trouble shoot the easy stuff first huh?

penny...I just had the same prob. I called Rob and he said there were a few weak 510 center posts and he sent me a new one. Installed new one and no more probs.

Either call or pm Rob and he'll take care of you...as always!!

There's really only 2 places it can come from. Either the nipple where the tube connects, or the center post gasket.

I got my new center pin from Rob today...do we happen to have a video here in reoville showing how this is done? I think I know what to do but want to make sure there's nothing I can mess up!

Only replace the parts that the kit contains - in other words don't "clean up" the squidgy stuff around the centre pin; it's insulation material that is meant to be there!

Just saying! I read of a few people ballsing their Reos up when replacing pins by messing with that stuff. Then the Reo has to go back to Rob.

When I knew I was going to rebuild one of my Grands, I watched that video about 15 times. Then I tore my Grand down and watched it again, frame-by-frame using the pause feature...while I installed the new kit.

You might be able to unscrew it, but he used to glue them on assembly. I tried that for ooh - 11 seconds and just snipped it off.

That was what stopped me in my tracks and felt the upgrade was beyond my skills. I shipped her back to Robert so it was done properly. It was back in my hands within a week. I already have set aside money for a Woodvil. I have no reason to spend money on another mod. I just wish more businesses would follow his business model.
