I have mostly used bland flavors so far, like light tobacco or cafe flavors. Sweet or fruity flavors don't sit well with me. So I have needed something with kick. I finally found an Icy Mint that tastes great but after a couple hits, it seems to make me cough like crazy. It helps if I don't hit it as hard, but even then it tends to leave a tickle in my throat. Why is this? Is this considered allergic reaction or just something that makes up the mint flavor.

I also have.a plain RY 4 that I like and wonder if it might help to add a drop of the Icy Mint? I haven't tried because I don't know if that would taste good or not..

If it has a higher amount of nic in it then you're used to, that could be the issue. Also, juices with Menthol (minty) essences tend to have that slight "burn", but its more like a prickling feeling over a real burn.

Another issue dealing with the "after a few hits part", are you using a dripper? if you're wick is too dry that could the the problem

I think I am starting to get more used to it, long as I don't hit it too hard. I am not sure about the VG PG ratio in this particular flavor. But I have not had trouble with any other flavors from the same vapor shop. I like the throat hit, but seems I just need to take it easier than I do with other flavors. Since I quit a month ago I have only had a few cigs since then. So I do vape 95% of the time. So perhaps for this flavor the PG is higher than others...but I like how the minty part hits the back of my throat, I haven't found other flavors that are quite as satisfying on that level.

I like cinnamon for the burn. It's what got me completely off the smokes. I smoked the mintiest menthols I could find so I don't know about your mint issue but my guess would be that you're just not used to it.

PG does burn a little. I tried mixing a few batches at 50/50 but discovered I like throat hit so I bumped back up to 70PG/30VG. VG makes the slimy feeling like lemonade does in my mouth. It just didn't give me that "smoky" feeling.

I have found that certain vendors irritate my throat. At first I thought it might be the pg, but I have used 50/50 from other vendors with other flavors. I think I may have problems with certain brands of flavorings.

It's funny that you should mention that. I haven't had any problem with nicotine or PG/VG blends of any level with any other vendor other than Ruthless. I'm not sure what it is about the EZ Duz It On Ice I have, but it irritates my throat (and it literally irritates it. It's like a little guy sitting at the back of my throat poking it with a stick saying "Hey, cough! Cough dude") and no other juice I've tried at any other nic level does it. I'm not sure what it is, but it's a real bummer because I really love the flavor of it and I was really pleased with the other flavors they had in the B&M shop that sold it to me had.
