Yep
It was veiled advertising for a new product.
"Guaging response"?
Lol
You didn't fall for that spam, Did you?

It's a valid question for a new business to ask, but you need permission to
Spam any forum you don't own.

The thread was a very poor attempt to advertise a new mod without paying advertising fees or getting permission.
Kinda like if I painted my company logo on yer moms house.

The word ......... has been banned too. I think free speech should be allowed as long as it's not offensive.

Free speech is allowed, but in the real world you are responsible for your actions, and the words you speak.
When Your speech uses someone else's property to advertise a product without permission, you are responsible.

Bottom line: this website isn't a public forum. It's a privately held website. Members here are guests in someone else's house.
Abide by your hosts rules, or you will be asked to leave.

Same as your friends home, be a jerk at your friends house and they will show you the door.

Sometimes people forget where they are.

Who is being a JERK? What did I advertise? What actions of mine did you find offensive enough to post this reply? I try to always be curtious, kind and considerate of others even when I don't agree with them. That's just the way I am on the internet and in person.

I can certainly understand and agree with rules about selling on a forum but censorship of certain words only slows down the exchange of ideas.

I wasn't referring to you specifically.
Don't take things personally.
I was making an example. You missed the point.

Chainvapor read and agrees to the forum rules.
He was trying to use ECF to advertise a new product he was involved in marketing.
Rules are pretty clear, and they te the same on most Internet forums.

Someone has to have permission to advertise on someone else's website.
I think chainvapor knew exactly what he was doing.
He isn't the first to try it, and won't be the last.

Next time he should try buying an ad.
Spamming isn't the sign of a trustworthy company, it displays shadiness in business.

Taking advantage of ECF to avoid advertising expenses, doesn't make me confident they wouldn't do the same to their customers.

I didn't really see it the same way, but I apologize for making this thread. I get a bit snappy sometimes, and regardless of my opinion, I should not have made such an inflammatory topic. I posted before I thoroughly thought about it, and regretted it pretty quickly after, which is why I didn't post in the thread again.

Sorry guys
