Can i use a 901 charger with a penstyle battery?

Not as far as I know. It's about the battery size, threads, and voltage, not about how the charger box looks.

FWIW - even though the specs were the same: threads, voltage, etc, and even the outside looked the same on three different brand 2 piece batteries (S51, LoongTotem and e-cig) I couldn't get the different manufacturers batteries to charge in different chargers.

What's strange is that a cheaper clone USB charger wall adapter that I got as a sample from a third-party battery "manufacturer" in China works with all of the USB adapters (S51, LoongTotem and e-cig). They did not have any RoHS or CE on it like the others but had UL, which only one of the others had.

After having a disposable cigar go on fire in someone's pocket - I'm a bit gunshy here.

Strictly speaking from an electrical standpoint... if you look on the chargers and the output values are the same (V and mA) they should be compatible.

Now whether they fit each other is a different story...
