Thanks RatRacer. Shouldn't it take a few hrs to charge tho?

No, maybe about an hour. But I'm not familiar with the 401, so I reserve the right to be wrong.:) My 801 batt took about 45 mins, and they're pretty big.

But, since it has a partial charge and these are non-etching lithium batteries, you can use as DICKW stated.

LOL. I am anxious to test it but i can wait. I quit smoking 4 and half months ago. I can wait lol. I did take a couple puffs before charging but i wasn't amazed. I guess that's expected...

Yes, lower voltage hits are less than stellar. A hit on a fresh batt is where its at. That's why people move to big batt mods.

There are a several things that can cause you to have little vapor.

One... if the air around you is very dry, the vapor will evaporate quite quickly and will not be so obvious.

Two... if you hold it in for a long time. Of course long is relative.

Three... if your liquid has no VG but has water or alcohol.

Four... if your atty is too wet or too dry. Yep... both directions. If your atty is too dry, it is kind of obvious that you won't get much vapor. But if your atty is too wet it is essentially flooded and won't produce much vapor either.

Five... if your atty is clogged or dirty. Not at all likely with a new atty!

Six... LOL - well, there are bunches of reasons. I could go on, but other issues are less and less likely to be your issue.

I believe - knowing very little about your situation - that it is likely that your atty still needs to be broken in. It might still have a bit of primer in it that is impeding vapor production. (If you have two atties you might want to try the other one. Gently blow out the primer first.) You might also need to work on your vaping technique a bit also. I use a long, soft draw on all of my PVs and find that it gives me the best vapor. I also take the vapor into my mouth and then inhale rather than taking a direct lung hit.

Try not to fret about it too much in the beginning. You will figure things out.

As I type this I am vaping on an M401 with Cantaloupe e-liquid I mixed myself and I'm getting loads of vapor.

I don't know how much experience you have with PVs... how much vapor were you expecting?

Thanks guys. Ok i tried 3 atomizers and all are the same. I have seen videos on youtube with these 401s and it was lots of vapor. Mine has very little. I bought 3 of these 401s. My daughter got one from me and hers is the same. Maybe it's cuz it's not broken in but from the vapor i'm getting i don't think breaking it in will bring up the volume enough cuz it's so low.

I've tried the prefilled carts and also tried the liquid that came with it. Both has very little vapor. I have some vg coming so maybe that will perk up the vapor.

I never blew out the primer. Could that be the problem?

No... the primer would burn off eventually. It wouldn't have a lasting impact.

I do wonder if you are actually expecting a lot more vapor than you should be. Hmmmm - do you get lots of vapor when you just take it into your mouth and blow it out without inhaling?

And how long of a drag are you taking?

I do get a bit of vapor but it's like less than half i see in the videos. Maybe when i get my vg from ebay and add some to it. It may be here tomorrow. I also just blew out the atty onto a paper towel. It showed a bit of liquid but after i puffed on it it's still the same. I guess i'll have to wait for the break-in period to see how it does then...

Okay... I think I get it now.

The guys in the videos have been doing this for a while. They know how to maximize the vapor. They have perfected the way they take a drag. Watch them carefully. You will see that most of them draw long (really long!) and softly. That way they are getting the most heat output from their atties and relatively little liquid vaporized - but fully vaporized. Most of the time they don't inhale when they are demonstrating the amount of vapor they can get. They take a mouth hit and blow it out.

You might find that you do better with a double hit technique. Draw long and slow.... break... long and slow again.

Or maybe you need a primer puff. Take a short mouth hit, blow it out, then draw long and slow into your mouth then inhale.

Personally, I like the primer puff because it puts a little bit of vapor right there in my face. LOL

It sounds dumb to tell someone who has smoked that they need to learn how to vape... but it is true if you want maximum vapor production!

Experiment in front of a mirror a bit and you will see how much of a difference technique can make!

Good luck and have fun with it!!!!

If i don't inhale it seems like a bit more vapor than if i inhale but nothing compared to what i saw in the youtube videos. I saw a few diff videos and they all had pretty good vapor. My drag is i take a short puff to start it up then take a slow puff till i can't take any more. I can feel the atomizer warm up with my hand. This is my first e cig.
