charging batteries.

I'm UK based.
Just got my G6 starter kit in the post today and something has just occurred to me - I'd been planning to use the wall charger with my american plug adaptor but it doesn't work, so currently charging via USB from laptop. it's a pain.

Is it possible to use the G6 usb charger with an Apple iphone usb wall plug? (5v usb charger as far as i'm aware).

I decided to be brave and just try it and can report success; an iphone usb wall plug does indeed accept a G6 USB charger and successfully charges the attached battery!

I just got my G6, and I am confused as to why I need to charge for an initial 8 hours even if the "charged" indicator is lit? I thought these newer rechargeable didn't have a memory effect? I can't recall the last time I got a rechargeable device that required an extra initial charge session. Mostly, I am just anxious to try this thing!

Not sure. But there's an integrated circuit in the battery so maybe it's something to do with calibration?

I used one battery from new til dead and the other I followed their Pre charging instructions.

Drastically better battery life by following their instructions.
