I have a cheap spring loaded dual charger from madvapes. Can I charge a 18650 and a 14500 at the same time, or will I need to do separate charging due to the difference in mah?

I don't believe it is wise to charge different sized batteries at the same time, on the same charger..that may not apply to all chargers, and I could also just be wrong. Hopefully somebody else will chime in with a more definitive answer.
Check the specs to see if it has independent charging channels. Even some cheap chargers have that, for example the common $10 Trustfire TR-001. If it does, you can charge different mah batteries on it. That said, it might not put out enough ma, so it'll take forever.

Welcome , and I have never bothered to look at any specs on the chargers I use, and I charge different batteries , all the time with no problems . But then again , for safety sakes , you may want to charge similar batteries together . Just don't ever leave charging batteries , unattended . If there is a problem , you wouldn't know until it was too late .
