Quick question (I’m a newb… coming from a Vea kit & I’m electrically challenged)

Yes, it’s a kindle powerfast charger… is this charger (9W 1.8A usb charger and I’m using the Joye usb connector – the one for ego-c twist- plugged into it) too much for an ego twist 1000mha battery? I just got the batteries yesterday (my first) and I don’t want to ruin them but, on the other hand, this should speed up the charging of them… no? I did plug them in yesterday and the green light (on the Joye part) turned green after 10 min. Now the button on one flashed like 10 or 20 times so I’m guessing it needs to be recharged? Can I use the 9W 1.8A charger? Thanks,

P.S. I guess I have to post 5 times here before I can post this in the ego device forum so, when I can, I’ll repost it there so sorry for the double post that will happen in the future - wow, that's like ...future talk

I guess I wasn’t clear. I am using the ego twist charger and the usb part is plugged into the above power adapter that plugs into the wall. :)

Edit: what I'm asking is: can I plug the usb part of the ego-C charger on a powerfast 9W 1.8A wall wort...? :) Wait, I know I can because I'm doing it right now. To clarify, will this powerfast wall wort hurt the ego twist battery? lol, thanks

That is highly not recommended. You will ruin your batteries or worse start a fire. I have seen lots of posts saying not to use anything but the genuine ego charger. Too bad tho. 10 min to charge would be awesome if it were safe.

It is a genuine ego (for the twist) charger. I’m sure the batteries, when I received them, were almost fully charged which is why they only took 10 min for the genuine ego charger part to turn green. lol, in the mean time I’ve had to go back to my Vea :-(

You can use any quality USB adapter to plug your EGO charger into. It wont charge any faster as the charger is what determines the power going to the battery. Unless the adapter has a lower rating than the charger (less than 0.5 amps) it will charge just fine. I have used my Kindle USB adapter to power my EGO charger without any problems.

I have read elsewhere on the forums that people are using powered USB hubs to charge multiple batteries.
I recently bought a dual port USB charger (link below) for $10 bucks and its working out well.
I know some people here are charging four or more batteries at once with larger hubs but for those of you with 4 and under this should be a good buy. I can charge two of my 650/1000 mAh ego Twist batteries simultaneously with fast charge times and it can plug into a powerstrip.
Thought it might help someone out. Specs and link below...

Specs taken directly from charger:
Input: AC 100-250V~50/60HZ
Output: 5.0V=150-2100mA
