No. It's not worth the possible consequences to leave a battery on the charger while you sleep, or while you're away. batteries have been known to explode, or overheat. This doesn't mean you have to stand over them and watch them every minute while they're charging. Chargers have also been known to lose their protective circuitry and cause problems. There are several threads on here about battery/charger safety.
