Charging seems different with my ego

I am noticing something weird when charging my ego 650 batteries. When I screw them into the charger it takes a while before the charger light turns red. On my 510 batteries it turn red instantly. Anyone else notice this or am I having issues

When you say it takes a while, do you mean minutes or a couple seconds? As soon as I screw it in, the light on the batt flashes 5 times, then the charging light turns red. Sometimes it helps to clean the center contact and threads on the batt and charger. E-juice can build up and prevent a good electrical contact.

It always flashes 5 times then the charger stays green for about a minute then turns red. Doesn't do that all the time but most. The batteries may only be 1/2 discharged they are not fully discharged

mine does the same. in addition to this, mine took up to 5 hours to fully charge.
