I couldn't find anything about these on the forum, so I thought I'd post it, on the off chance anyone is looking to make a mod using the DSE084 atomizers. I think that's fairly unlikely, as the carts are so small, but I figure it's better to have the information and not need it than to need it and not have it.

DealExtreme has these cheap e-cig kits. The product itself is pretty much worthless, but you can salvage two connectors from it. The easy one is from the USB charger. Once you carefully cut off all the protective plastic, you have a small connector with wires already soldered to the connections. The atomizer can also be taken apart to give you another connector, but that's a bit harder to do than the USB charger. I actually managed to break mine doing it, but someone a bit more cautious could do it in a couple of minutes. This one doesn't have presoldered connections, though.

This e-cig at DX look like it's the same one, with the same USB connector, so that will probably get you what you need for a bit less, but I don't have any personal exerience with that one...I'm just going off the pictures.

boondongle, i think those ecigs are not 084s... the connector is kind different.

well, i have some old 84s here... i'm waiting theirs battys die, so i will be able to build a mod.

and yes, the carts are very small, but got good TH and clean vapour production, making 084 attys good candidates for pump mods, i think.

let us know if you build something! unfortunally i work alot and have no time at all :-x

Yeah - 84 attys are great for flavor too. I'm waiting for my batts to die as well on my cheap 84 (figures it's one battery that's stood up for a long time :?:). I've been eyeing the charger but I'm not ready to rip it apart quite yet.

Right, the e-cigs that I linked to are most definitely not 084s. The size and threading on the connectors is the same, however, just reversed (084 has a female battery and male atomizer, the cheapo e-cigs at DX have a male battery and female atomizer). With one of each, you could screw the batteries together, or the atomizers together. Or the 084 atomizer into the cheapo USB charger.

I was actually thinking about a 084 box mod with an internal pump. Just sketching things out at the moment. Haven't really been doing this long enough to have parts lying around ready to use -- still waiting for some batteries to arrive before I really start in on the modding bug.
