You are actually lucky your rip-off rebrander only charges $30. I have seen $50 and at one rebrander $119 (I am not kidding) for a battery.

I have no idea what Amerismoke is. I can't stand the rip-off rebranders with the professional looking sites, "testimonials", ridiculous prices and BS lies.

OK - I looked. It is a 2-piece unit? And the male threads are on the battery?

If it is the same thickness as a cigarette or just slightly thicker then I have no idea what it is. Maybe an E8. if so I only know the Premium brand that uses E8.

If it is fatter than a cigarette then there is a decent chance it is E9/KR808D-2 (several rebranders use this otherwise unpopular model) and a smaller chance it is its near-twin the KR808D-1 (the model more supported in the normal-price marketplace). Their threads are different but nothing you could look at to tell which it is.

You could talk to AZSMokeFree.com - they are the only non-rebrander I know of who sells KR808D-2 batteries - see if they will let you buy one and return it if it is not the right threads?

I know they don't make them, and there must be another source, I've spent too much $ with accesories to give up on them, but there must be another source. Anyone know? Thanks

Just my opinion, but I bought a kiosk e-cig for 80 bucks ... only one atty, only one battery and 10 carts. It taught me that I could kick the habit with an e-cig. Small price to pay for the lesson.
Now I'm on to the brands and suppliers suggested by the veterans on this forum.
For $30-40 you can get a name brand with 2 attys, 2 batteries and 10 carts along with chargers for it.
Don't look back ... you might be chasing good money after bad. Move on and move up to one of the brands suggested on this forum. Liberty-Flights.com has good prices and amazing shipping (fast and accurate). Be sure and click on the 20% off area in the upper left portion of the screen before putting things in your cart.
Good luck!

I've googled and searched this forum and can't find anything definitive on what the Amerismoke is.
If you can post closeup pictures of the battery and threading maybe someone will know what it is.

You might check out dormouse's suggestion.
But if that doesn't work your best bet might be to just move on to something more common.

I'd check out the Bloog MaxFusion or maybe a Smokestik model.
If you like your Amerismoke they should be right up your alley.

Same as LNRRigby, I dropped over $100 on a mall kiosk kit. It got me off analogs, but I was much happier with a Joye 510. I also googled around and am pretty sure I saw all the same results as DC2: Endless link traps, "reviews" and testimonials, etc... Looks like VaporKing sells an adapter to use their batteries on Amerismoke cartos, but then you're stuck with VK.

Wow, what a great forum, thanks to everyone for their research and effort. I do love the unit, and the battery lasts a for almost a whole cartomizer. I don't need much, so that's about two days. I'm just so worried about the FDA killing this amazing thing, that I want to stock up a bit. I've gone though 20 cartomizers from them and found a video on utube on boiling them, they come out like new, and then I can get 20 drops of my own home made juice in them. Thanks again to everyone!!!

A shop called VaporKings.com lets you buy a single standard KR808D-1 blank carto - you could order one and see if it fits/works on your Amerismoke. If it does then you should be able to use any KR808D-1 stuff

BTW - VaporKings.com is no relation to Vapor4Life.com's popular "Vapor King" (KR808D-1) and filled KR808D-1 cartos

Did you ever find out if what model it is? My wife just mistakenly ordered a battery (it is called "Basic" on the invoice, but the website doesn't have one with that name) and some cartomizers ($15 a pack, "Micro", whatever that is) that don't fit the battery. The battery has male threads, the cartos are female threads. There is no charger with it, either. I'd like to try to get it al lsorted out so that we can make some sort of rational decision about what pieces to get (or write it off as a bad experience and move on). If we can figure out what pieces they are we might be able to get an adapter or charger or something. I honestly haven't got any experience with any of them except the 801 and the 510, but this beast is unlike either of them. We are going to call and try to return the stuff, but they have a policy of no return on cartridges, so that is likely a lost cause. Anyway, any info you've come up with would be greatly appreciated!

servozoom I'm going to come out and say what others are hinting at. It doesn't matter what you spent on that Amerismoke. To contiue to buy overpriced items because of the money you've already spent on overpriced items doesn't make a lot of sense. You'll do better with something that has known compatibility in both cost and availability even if the FDA goes ahead with a ban. Most likely it's a KR808D2 but, you might be lucky and have a KR808D1. Get some cartos from Vapor4Life. See if they fit. If they do, you know you have a KR808D1 and you can start getting higher quality stuff from other vendors at better prices.

If they don't, order a starter kit from Vapor4Life to go with those cartos. That should be cheaper than ordering batteries, a charger and the other accesories separately. Then you can get higher quality stuff from other vendors at better prices. Then look on LeCig for the D1 to D2 adapters so you can continue to use the other cartos.

That's my best advice anyway.

If it is a KR808D2, there are a few places that carry batteries, cartos, etc. I found this after needing supplies for a KR808D2 battery that I bought. Check out these sites:

lecig.com - also has adapters KR808D2 to KR808D1 (I did not like the draw) & KR808D2 to 510 (I have not tried)
azsmokefree.com
getvapure.com - also has adapter KR808D2 to 510 (It works like a charm)
vapureeliquid.com - same adapter as getvapure.com

lecig.com also has a chart and a video under the "refills" heading explaining the differences.

I hope this saves you time and money.

I'm pretty sure the Amerismoke original and micro are a rebranded E9 and E8 from ............ I have an Amerismoke Micro and I just ordered a E8 starter kit from e-cig. I figure if they are the same, cool, I'll have two extra batts, four cartos and an extra case and USB charger. If not, at least I'll have the kit and can still use it. In either case, I'll know if they are the same or not.

I finally received my supplies today from e-cig dot com. I was right, Amerismoke's Micro is e-cig's E8. I bought the Express Starter Kit for $27.95, which got me 2 extra batts, an extra USB charger, 4 more cartos (filled with RY4, yuck, won't buy that again!) and an extra carrying case. Also bought 15 blank cartos, 2 syringes and a couple of liquids to try. The liquids suck, little to no vapor on exhale, but they were like $1.79 each, so no big loss. Shipping was around $10 from China.

In comparison, the Amerismoke Micro starter kit was $99 (free shipping) and the exact same kit from e-cig, the Complete Starter Kit, is $38.23 + shipping. Amerismoke DOES fill the cartos with their own juice, but for $50 more, it's not worth it...lol.

Anyway, I learned the Noob lesson...shop around before you buy. And, I'm ready to move on from this starter kit and start building my own mod.
