When I check the battery in my brand new provari it will show the battery level and start to fire. Why?

It checks the battery under load, it will do the same thing when you check ohms, too. This gives the most accurate reading.
When I pop a fresh charged battery in I check the battery voltage by unscrewing the atty a little so it's not under load .
Seeing 4.2 volts assures me the chargers and batteries are right, and that it is in fact a freshed charged battery.

I wonder when it checks the battery level if it fires at the volts you have it set at. Would hate to instafry a carto!

no if i remember correctly provape said it fires at a low voltage setting just to have a load on the battery. not to actually work the coil.
It's well below the 2.9 minimum the provari let's us reach. Very flavorful, but practically no th or vapor.

Right now if I check the battery with no load was 3.8 , dropped to 3.6 as soon as load was on.
haha thats so funny you say that. i always "steal" the Cb or Ao vape. its all mine!
and whats funny is i thought the voltage used for checking was always the last used voltage, rathe rthan some fixed lower number. must have been all in my head!
