I have been smoke free now for 15 months, after 40 years of up to 3 pad. I started with Smokeless Image products and mixed in some Halo (all 808/ego threaded), but that has left me limited in my growth potential. I know I have to venture into the real world of 510/ego.

Please keep in mind that whatever I do, I need to do for both myself and my wife, so I'm not going to rush out and buy several of everything.

I'm not foreign to 510/egos. I have a VV passthru and a couple of 18650 and 18350 mods, but these are too large for anything other than home use.

What I'm looking for is something I'm more comfortable using for out and about. Currently I'm very happy with using T2 clearos and see no reason to use anything else at home. These also have the added benefit of being compatible with all of my batteries and passthrus whether they are 808/ego or 510/ego. I have briefly tried a T3 but found it too airy. However, I would rather have something less transparent for out in public. I'm just not comfortable with showing my juice, if you know what I mean.

My Smokeless Image X2 batteries are regulated at 3.7 volts, and coupled with 1.8ohm coils on the T2, seem just right.

So my thinking is to start with a Kanger eVOD kit. It seems to me that being regulated to 3.7 volts, non-transparent tank, throw in some 1.8ohm coils, that would be the way to go.

Opinions...suggestion...(first person to say "Provari" wins nothing BTW)

Sounds like a good choice to me. Like cramptholemew said, I'd get the VV but that's personal preference.
These are on sale again- Gripper saw it on the VJ feed with a coupon code for another .50 off. If you've got protected 18350's all you'd need are cartos. They're super stealthy. I like mine even though I'm not a huge carto fan.

Some of the mods are great fun, but not really going to help me explore the bigger world of devices that I have not had access to, like pro tanks, etc. I don't want to continue to live in the world of limitations. The VV option is one I will likely explore in the future, but not for my first several batteries (remember, 2 for me, 2 for the wife, + backups).

You could try the new aspire bdc, there are glass ones that have a little window like evods. I haven't tried them yet because i invested too much on kayfun and its clones. But everyone loves the bdc for some reason :)

Sorry, had to.

My first foray out of my 510 cig-a-like comfort zone was the EVOD. Love it as my daily vape. Highly recommended.
